Will my hair grow significantly?
Alright, so long story short, I needed my hair cut a certain way for a costume. However, my hairstylist is an idiot who tries to put a girly, chic edge on everything, and it came out waytooshort. One of my friends recommend I take five biotin pills a day, because she says it makes her hair grow two centimeters every few days.
I did a little research on biotin and vitamins that aid hair growth, and went out and stocked up. I bought biotin, B-complex, flax seed oil gels, beta-carotene, vitamin E, and vitamin C tablets with bioflavonoids. I take one of each every morning. This equates to:
5000mcg biotin
500mg vitamin C
50mg B-complex
1000mg flax seed oil
25,000 IU beta-carotene
400 IU vitamin E
Basically, I want to know if I'll have any significant hair growth in 90 days. Before, I was just taking a children's multivitamin that had 48mcg of biotin, and my hair was growing at a faster-than-normal rate. Like, about four inches (more or less) in six months. My hair's always been strong and healthy and thick. I'm just worried that I'm wasting money on a bunch of vitamins that won't actually help my hair grow at all.

Get 8-9 servings of fruits and vegetables.Dark green leafy vegetables are very good for hair growth.
Once a week use a deep conditioner.
Once a month use a hot oil treatment

Well, no, you probably aren’t wasting your money, but I don’t think there is going to be any significant growth to your hair. There is great debate whether vitamins do anything to you at all or not, so whether you are going to see any difference is unsure. No, you will not make your hair grow any faster (anyone that says they can grow 4" of hair in 2 months is lying), but it isn’t going to make anything any worse.
There is a danger of over-dosing on some vitamins, but what you are taking is hardly anything at all, so there is no fear. Most are water-soluble, so they just pass right through you. As my grandmother used to say: "It ain’t gonna hurt — ain’t gonna help, but won’t hurt you either". Just leave your hair alone, it will grow, whether you want it or not, and in due course, it will be long again.
