I noticed that almost all people buy brand name medication. The major difference between brand name and generic, i.e the store equivalent is the price. Just read the ingredients of both or ask the pharmacist. You will save money. Also for symptoms of a
cold, sore throat etc. I use Echinacea, L-lysine,Vitamins B an CI already take niacin. So far it has worked fine. A progressive sore throat, take my pills , and gone the next morning. Check mwith your Dr first!!

They mistakenly think that brand name medications are of a higher quality. They assume that the integrity of the medication must have been compromised in order to make a less expensive product.
Many laypersons don’t understand the drug approval and development process by which a company invests its money, in the development of the drug, then recovers its cost by charging a higher price for the drug. Years later, after the company has recovered some of its cost, the patent expires and other companies can produce the exact same drug at a lower price because they did not pay for the development of the drug.
Hope this made sense. The public needs to be aware, so I am glad you asked this question!
