While dieting what can i drink? ?

im trying to loose weight and be healthy while doing so. i normally drink diet drinks. but im planning on becoming pregnant so i don't want to put those chemicals in my body. so im drinking juice with vitamin c and folic acid but they have a lot of calories in them. and drinking only water all day is to boring. is that crystal light ok? what besides water is healthy to drink without giving extra calories?
i need to loose about 30 pounds (the amount i gained after becoming happily married) before i get pregnant. i have seen my doctor for my pre conception visit and that's what she said i need to work at.

  1. I love to drink water with lemon. Another good alternative is something called True Lemon (they also make true lime and true orange). It’s just crystallized lemon…no calories or anything…and tastes just like a lemon! They are so convenient in their little packets, I carry them around in my daughter’s diaper bag! Just add to a bottle of water!

    Two thumbs down?! Okee.

  2. crystal light

  3. water.water cleans your stomach and wash away fat

  4. make yourself some orange juice, thats what i did when i was pregnant.

  5. water down fruit juices and have squashes. Also try herbal teas and green tea which will speed up your metabolism xxx

  6. I think Crystal light would still have added calories. Plain water or favored water would be ok—just always read the labels and see if there is a high sugar content. Good luck.

  7. When You Drink You Always Get Hungary So You Will End Up Going To A Kebab shop Or A Chippy So Its Not A Good Idea But Its Up To You :D

  8. crystal light is good because it has a few chemicals but they’re not harmful. mostly just flavor and color. and it makes water good.

  9. crystal light and propel flavor packets are both good choices. water by itself can get pretty boring, you’re right. but, if you don’t want lots of extra calories, that’s really your only option.

  10. hot or cold water with abit of lemon juice in it is sooooo good for your health and skin

  11. Great question. Most people don’t realize that they can cut back at least 300-1,000 cals a day just by changing what they drink.

Obviously the your #1 drink should be water for more reasons than I will go into here.

#2 should be some type of natural juice. Basically a homemade smoothy of sorts. Take any natural fruits and veggies and put them in a juicer.

  12. lose the diet drinks, they are not good, the crystal lite is ok, water, tea..check the label of sugar in the juice..that’s no good. its better to eat an orange for the C vitamin, a natural source.

  13. Fruit smoothies, water, decaf tea

  14. you can drink anything but cut down .just drink half a cup.. nd try filling up on water drink that all the time even if ur not thursty.. it helps

  15. If you are on a diet you can drink water and fruit juice!

  16. crystal light is low in calories and it tastes great.. i love the orange flavor

  17. it doesn’t matter what you drink as long as you exercise enough. But if you want somthing to make you lose weight drink slimfast, and other than that drink water!

  18. If you are planning on becoming pregnant, you need to make sure you are getting enough essential fatty acids to make sure your baby develops his or her neurological systems well. LOW FAT diets are NOT the way to be healthy. That is the food industry’s way of making lots of money on the public’s ignorance. Drinking diet drinks increases your appetite and does NOT help you lose weight. It does contribute to creating diabetes by making your body insulin resistant and the FDA acknowledges 92 side effects from Aspartame that greatly damage your body. Go to: http://www.myaspartameexperiment.com and see what a house wife did over a 2 year period on her experiments on rats to show her kids what that junk does to you.

There are many healthy drinks, but certainly not the garbage you buy in stores that contains high fructose corn syrup, etc. Flavored water has become very popular in America and so has disease. A very good drink that is healthy for you is Kombucha. This is fermented Chinese Tea that has lots of health benefits. You can make it yourself if you like or buy it in health food stores. Making juice from organic fruits is another way to give your body nourishment.

Water is the best thing. The average person needs water at the following rate:

Take your total body weight and divide by 2. That number is the amount of water in ounces that you need to drink each and everyday. Along with that, you should consume 1/4 teaspoon of "air dried sea salt" in conjunction with each quart of water you drink. This puts the electrolytes in your body that will give you proper hydration. The typical white table salt you buy in stores like the Morton Salt, for instance, is terrible for you and has loads of chemicals added. Avoid that junk. If you drink ANY diuretic drinks like, sodas, coffee, tea, alcohol, commercially prepared fruit drinks, energy drinks, etc., these all dehydrate you and you will need to add more water to the total to compensate for the water loss due to these diuretic drinks. Take the total ounces of the diuretic drinks and multiply by 1.5 and add that total to the original total to come up with the proper amount of water you need to drink each day.

    good luck to you

  19. gatorade and water.

  20. FUZE slenderize is delicious and only 20 calories a bottle

  21. I know water is so boring but it really is the best thing for you. If you drink it for 7 days straight, it will become a habit and you won’t even mind it. Put lemon slices in it for extra flavor. The only time I don’t drink water is w/ dinner – I’ll have 1/2 seltzer with 1/2 cranberry juice for flavor. If you can – NEVER drink soda again. It’s just so bad for you and makes you crave more sugar.

  22. water and iced green tea are my favorites. Dieting during a pregnancy is always tricky, make sure you ask your doc this question. You dont want to give up giving your baby the nutrients it needs from things like fruit juices, just cause you want to cut some calories. Try watering down fruit juices.
    Congratulations!!

  23. the only drink with no calories is water, or maybe crystal lite…I knwo it seems "boring" but water really is the best thing for you to drink. Maybe tea occasionally.

  24. Geen tea, has lots of antioxidants(good for health)-Jasmine tea breaks up mucous and fats( and tastes like your drinking the flower) kinda cool to me. I use blueberry and raspberry herbal teas to sweeten my iced tea so I use less sugar and help kick the soda habit.

  25. who really knows what’s in those flavor packets?

for baby’s sake, i would stay away from anything with alot of sugar, which it sounds like you’ve already started doing.

but i would also stay away from products that have artificial sweetners

try mixing low-in-sugar juices with water or adding lemon to your water

  26. sprite or coke zero, fresca, gator aid is ok but high in sodium, Crystal light is good, milk, V8, low sugar fruit juice

  27. No, crystal light has artificial sugar in it which is really bad for you and the baby. Go to the health food store and get stevia to add to unsweetened drink mix. It is a natural derivative of sugar without the calories. Do drink the healthy juices, cut your calories in areas where you tend to over eat to make up for them. God Bless you and your baby.

  28. Honestly, the best thing is crystal clear water, but if you find that too boring, Green Tea is full of antioxidants, with very few calories, and an all-natural health drink. Look at the artificial sweeteners in Crystal Light. Research the artificial ingredients and decide if that is going to be suitable or not for your health goals. You’re absolutely on the right track!!

  29. decaffeinated tea is good for you, has antioxidants and hydrates you. adding honey can improve the taste, you can find a variety of flavors that you will enjoy. I personally like the orange flavored teas

  30. don’t diet and try to get pregnant either do one or the other
the all diet drinks have artificial sweeteners in them which our doctor
specifically told us to stay away from Any artificial sweetener, and dieting. My wife’s doctor told her not to diet, just eat what you want to, (within reason). My Best Advice is go see Your Doctor to find out whether or not you need to be dieting while trying to get pregnant.
YOUR DOCTOR WILL KNOW WHAT’S BEST FOR YOU, LISTEN TO YOUR DOCTOR INSTEAD OF A BUNCH OF PEOPLE WHO THINK THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT.
    (me included)

  31. Iced tea flavored with fruit juice. Do a lot of walking or take up swimming.
