****Which is the best vitamin for shedding hair situation****?
Not loosing hair in clumps, but strange at a time. (3 to 5 pieces at a time)
Had hair cut 4" shorter in hopes that this would help.
Someone said vitamin E, but I did some research and it is telling me the "B" family vitamin.
I do take a multi vitamin daily.
What am I lacking and which vitamin should I take more of?
***strands, not strange........lol
duh, spell check!

try hair oil; it really works! put it on at nite before bed and wake up and shampoo it off. usually coconut hair oil works the best but try others to suit ur hair

hey , its biotin , sea kelp , or horsetail /sillica – minerals…you can get them from health shops. if its down to stress then it would be an evening primrose oil along side or all the b vits to calm the nerves. multi vit is a good start but the stregnths in them are quite low compared to if you were going to take some individualy

You are not losing a lot, if it’s just 3-5 at a time. However, to answer your question, if you are taking a multi-vitamin from a drugstore, like the popular brands you see on tv, it may not provide enough of the B-Complex to actually do you any good. A good suggestion would be a B-50 or even a B-100, that includes Biotin. Good brands are Solaray, Nature’s Plus, Source Naturals, and Life Extension. These brands can be found in a health food store, or online. Kelp is very good for the hair, and can also help prevent hair loss. It’s also a great phyto-nutrient, and as such, it is an excellent replacement for a multi-vitamin. However, you should not take Kelp if you have an over-active thyroid, because Kelp actually helps alleviate low thyroid function.
