When is the Best Time to Take a Multi-Vitamin?

The reason I ask is we are uringating all day long .

I fear I will urinate all my good vitamins?

Should I take it with food?

If you take it with either Green Tea Pills or Apple Pills will that eat away at my vitamins?

Thanks once again

  1. If it’s one multivitamin, then take it in the morning with food. That way your body will utilize the nutrients to fuel your body throughout the day. Especially if your active and exercise, morning nutrition is very important. Remember the saying "breakfeast is the most important meal of the day." Thats because the nutrients jump start your day. Think about it, your body is alseep for many hours with no nutrition in it. So when you wake up, your body is screaming for nutrients! No green tea pills or apple pills will not eat away the vitamins. Its best to drink green tea in the morning and eat an apple, then take your vitamins with breakfast. That way you get the whole benefit.

  2. Take half with your morning meal and half with your evening meal. You will only expel what your body doesn’t absorb.

  3. You can’t piss out all your vitamins because they should’ve been absorbed by your body. When I say absorbed I mean they should’ve gone to their right places.

  4. There are no rules about the best time of day to take supplements. It’s best to take them when they best agree with your stomach. Always take them with food, and at the same time each day.

Your body will rid any excess of vitamin, green tea and apple supplements via the urine.

I did not find any reference that indicates green tea or apple supplements will disrupt the body’s absorption of the multivitamin.

    Good luck!

  5. Your urine contains waste products that had to pass through the stomach, colon, small intestine, anus, etc. With all of the surface area there, your daily vitamin intake should be absorbed by the body from the multivitamin. You may pee out "left over" vitamins, because the body can only handle so many vitamins at a time. This may induce a neon yellow urine, which usually doesn’t mean anything bad at all. The only way you would not get the vitamins from your multivitamin would be if you vomited within about a half hour of ingesting the vitamin…
With all that being said, taking a multivitamin in the morning when you first wake up is generally a good time to do it because it sets a regimented schedule, and you are taking in the nutrients your body needs first thing in the morning, so you will have them all day.

With a multivitamin, it does not matter if taken with food; it is all preference. If you get nauseous while swallowing pills, you may want to take it with a snack, but usually water (or any liquid) is fine.

I am unaware of the effects of Green Tea Pills or Apple Pills on vitamins.

    Hope it helps.

  6. Providing you are eating a balanced diet, there is no convincing evidence that you ever need to routinely take a multivitamin.
