What's the best way (besides diet and exercise) to feel focused and energized throughout the day?
I'm a fan of the "5-hour energy" type drinks, but those can get pretty expensive... what are the best vitamins or supplements that provide steady energy and focus to keep me going through a busy day?

Unfortunately, there is nothing short or exercise that will give you the "real energy boost" we need on a daily basis.
I hate to exercise too and I will drink a diet soda just for a quick fix but it is not healthy and does not last long.
I recommend you go to a health food store and see what they would recommend in the form as a supplement for energy and try and drink one energy drink in the late afternoon. That is when we have the least amount of energy.
Food high in carbs give you a boost too. Also B-12 is excellent for this. I have chronic fatigue and take the B-12 shots to keep me going. But, there is not much more you can do without exercise.
If you do find out something, I will be watching to see. But, I have tried for several years with my illness and only the B-12 has even remotely helped. Also, drinking a lot of water is good for you. That detoxifies the body and will keep you from feeling so sluggish. Drinking a glass of orange juice in the morning helps me too.
Good luck…….lol :)

Getting enough sleep. MAJOR thing.
Costs no money, and all it requires is a place to sleep. xD

try yoga or meditation…whenever you have a few spare minutes during the day try to breathe in for 5 seconds and breathe out for another five. it helps you stay focused and its good for keeping your heart rate healthy.

Try increasing your water intake, you’d be surprised how more energetic you will feel if you drank the required 8 glasses a day. It will also help you feel focussed.
8 hours a sleep is reccommended, no less then 6 if you can and no moer than 9. If you sleep more every day, you will become tired instead of rested.
And most important, avoid those horrible drinks! they’re so bad for you!!

Get sleep.
But also, avoid caffiene. Studies have shown that really, it doesn’t do much. Once your body gets used to having it, you THINK you feel more awake, but if you can get off the Caffiene and use something like B12 or B6 that should help.
Avoid Guarana, it’s got 3 times more caffiene than coffee.
Also, brain exercises help a little.

drink water with lemon or lime. Makes you feel fresh, energized, and alive. It’s also extremely healthy. Sleep is also very important. Stay away from the drinks like red bull, the caffeine is not good for your heart.

I would suggest a cleansing diet. I did this and lost 12 pounds and 17 inches in 9 days and then 28 pounds in about a month. I like the program since it works by giving your body nutrition through protein shakes with digestive enzymes and vitamins and then cleansing out the toxins. We get toxins in our bodies from pesticides, preservatives, water, pollution, medications, food additives etc…. These toxins enter our bodies and get coated with fat. To remove the extra fat, we need to get rid of the toxins through cleansing. The program also has a natural diet pill to help your metabolism and curb cravings. It works and it works fast. I lost 30 pounds in 5 weeks and I feel great. My skin has improved as well from the cleansing. You can get more info at this toll free number 1-877-587-4647. I think cleansing is really important to health and weight loss. Give it a try and good luck! http://thebestcleansingdiet.com
