What vitamin deficiancy makes little half moons on my nails/cuticles?

I have had them all my life, along with little tiny itsy bitsy craters/indents on the cuticle. I don't get manicures and I get constant hangnails, plus I often have dry hands. What kind of vitamin deficencies could I have?
Oh, and what foods can I eat to get nicer nails?

  1. Biotin and Zinc can be helpful

  2. I believe it’s Vitamin D. That’s what I was always told. I was told to drink more milk (or try multivitamins) and it would help. I do know that your nails and hair contain Keratin. I would look it up online and see what you come up with.

  3. it has alot to do with calcium.
