What type of multi vitamin should I start taking ?

Should I start taking vitamins ? I heard that they make you feel more healthy and you will get sick less. Which ones should i take ? I would like to be able to take 1 pill every day. I am starting to work out by going to the track and jogging and doing the stairs and stuff so I want to feel more healthy.

  1. I take the standard multi-vitamin that is purchased at COSTCO in a 500 tablet container. It is a Centrum copy. I’ve had a lot of success with it. You could also get the high energy multi vitamin that has extra B50 in it (and some others) if you will be working out. Now, you have to take the vitamin with food so it gets absorbed properly otherwise you are peeing out the vitamins. Also, no more than one a day because they can be bad for you, to take extra. Studies are starting to find relationships between diseases and the over consumption of vitamins. So just take one with food. If you need extra energy try ginseng extract. It is safe and works well.

  2. if you have a well balanced diet there is no need for vitamins….if you must then a generic vitamin will work and there is no need to take one every day…

  3. Try any one a day multi vitamin, such as; Centrum, One-a-Day, store brand.

  4. You have the right idea, just take one multivitamin, if you start mixing and matching you can end up taking too much of one thing and that can be very bad for you. Personally I just go for "own name" stuff like Tesco’s or Boots however if you have the money to spend these things Id recomend Centrum.

  5. I would highly recommend that you look into glutathione. Glutathione: The Body’s Master Antioxidant glutathione (GSH) is a small protein produced naturally in our cells when certain required elements are present. It functions both as an antioxidant and an antitoxin and is a major defense system against illness and aging. Our glutathione level actually indicates our state of health and can predict longevity. Although there are more than 60,000 published papers on the beneficial effects of glutathione replacement, it is still largely ignored by mainstream medicine. . In the near future the importance of glutathione will be widely recognized because it has the ability to boost the immune system and fight off the damage of free radicals on the cells.

Glutathione has been shown to slow down the aging process, detoxify and improve liver function, strengthen the immune system, and reduce the chances of developing cancer. Glutathione also works to help improve mental functions, increase energy, improve concentration, permit increased exercise, and improve heart and lung function – just to name a few.

Increasing Age and Other Factors Reduce the Body’s Production and Utilization of GSH. Research has shown that individuals who have low levels of glutathione are susceptible to chronic illness. Research shows that GSH levels decline by 8% to 12% per decade, beginning at the age of 20. Levels of glutathione are further reduced by continual stress upon the immune system such as illness, infection, and environmental toxins. As we now know, a lowered immune system can bring about illness and disease. This is a ferocious cycle. While you need glutathione for a productive immune system, a weakened immune system hampers the production of glutathione.

Supplements Containing Glutathione Alone Will NOT Increase the Body’s GSH Levels. It is pointless to purchase supplements that merely contain glutathione, because the digestive system breaks down ingested glutathione and it will not be absorbed into your system. On the other hand, MaxGXL™ provides the proper nutrients needed to promote the body’s own ability to manufacture and absorb glutathione. MaxGXL™ also aids in liver support by destroying environmental poisons helping the liver to function as the main production site and storehouse for glutathione.
