What is the best brand of multi-vitamins for a 10yr old asthmatic boy?
My son is severely asthmatic but very active. I'd like him to take a daily multi-vitamin but the choices are so confusing. What do you think the best brand is for the nutrients provided and the taste?
Jon- thanks, he does use Singulair along with an albuterol inhaler, Flovent, & Claritan. What i'm looking for is a good quality multi-vitamin to add to his daily routine. I added the asthma information because I know each multi-vitamin is different and wanted one that might have better ingredients for that (like higher B's or more zinc (what ever works for asthma)). As a doctor what do you suggest?

A balanced diet is best. Western society always looks for a pill to be the answer. Unless you do not have access to good quality, fresh food, or unless his immune system is compromised, a healthy, varied diet will do the trick.
Now that I’ve convinced you I’m a crackpot and no help at all… can I steer you towards the Buteyko breathing method ? Your doctor and pharmacist wont like it, because within a year (maybe sooner) he will be completely off all medication and his asthma either gone or well under control.
It’s a series of breathing exercises that relearns the body to breathe properly. It has had great success in Russia and Australia, and anywhere else that the medical profession allows it to operate. Remember when chiropractors were considered quacks ? Doctors tried to prevent them being recognised. Same with anything that is not mainstream. Believe me, Buteyko works.
