  1. Well what I do is lower the amount of calories that I eat. For enstense eat rice cakes, nutrigrain bars, wheat thins and lots and lots of fruits. if you eat lunch eat balongny, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, a teaspoon of mustard and two peices of wheat bread. Do not eat mayonas. If you eat dinner eat brown rice, vegetables, biscuits. oh yeah and cardio exercies is a must you can get exercies on demand under sports and fitness. oh yeah drink plenty of water and at least one cup of green or black tea a day. Remember these are only a few suggestions of healthy foods is you need more types of healthy foods look it up on http://www.aol.com. These are very good meal plans it worked for me I’ve lost about 5 pounds I use to weigh 131lbs but now I weigh about 125 pounds.

  2. they say real dark chocolate lowers blood pressure.. the darker the better

  3. fresh veggies steamed with herbs not salt;
use a little pepper for seasoning
    i never use salt

    fresh green beans
    fresh asparagus
fresh potatoes steamed with fresh herbs or sauteed with fresh herbs

any meat you cook can be sauteed with fresh herbs

once you get your taste buds set to herbs instead of salt it is very easy.

    good luck.

  4. garlic onions leeks spring onions fennel.
    all good.

  5. try to limit ur water intake. Water adds volume to the blood. If patients in a hospital are odema (swelling) then they are put on fluid restriction. Its usually bout a litre a day. Tho id suggest gettin medical advice before doing something like that.

  6. I had high blood pressure when I was 20 and very over weight. Was on meds, but losing weight was what did it to lower it. Cutting salt will help, but you gotta get healthy in other ways! Excercise, if only to walk around the block a couple times to start!

  7. Losing the weight is the first thing to work on.
Try to do without salt if you can.
Cook your own meals and you will know what fat and salt is in them.
Eat plenty of fruit and veg.
Don’t whatever you do drink fizzy drinks.

I want to lose weight and seem not to succeed. So I sympathise. But in your case your life is on the line. Weight Watchers is excellent if you can afford it.

  8. Well, I have the same thing to deal with.
First of all , you need to loose weight. That is PRIME in lowering your blood pressure.

Don’t ADD salt to your food. Don’t eat bacon, ham, sausage, any meat like that, all high in salt.

French fries , popcorn even "unsalted" are high in salt.

Push the fluids, push foods HIGH in potassium as that will help to lower your pressure.

I was reading today that CINNAMON will help too. Hey worth trying if you can’t take BP meds.

  9. Beets

  10. Porridge oats, bananas which are high in potassium most fruit and veg look it up on the web.

  11. perhaps cheerios and quaker oats as some of your breakfast/snack foods.

  12. Celery has been proven to lower blood pressure, and is one of the few foods proven to do so.

  13. I personally take Omega 3′s with tocotrienols. I prefer to take a brand name Kyani Sunset. It comes pure from wild sockeye salmon native to Alaska. I have done some research and found that other omega 3′s out there aren’t pure and that they come from ground up fish parts, i.e. omega 3′s from walmart. I also like it because you get the health benefits of the fish oils without the taste of fish.
