What could cause someone to stop being able to tolerate vitamins?
I have taken a number of different supplements, vitamins over the years. Now I cannot tolerate them without experiencing much fatigue the next day. The same seems to hold true of any medications. What could be the cause of this, and is there anything I can do to correct the problem?

You might want to go in for some blood testing. There are many possibilities why you can not tolerate vitamins or medication. Vitamins are divided into two classes, water soluble and fat soluble–your body processes them accordingly. Fat soluble vitamins (A,D,E &K) take a longer period to process water soluble vitamins (You can actually O.D. on fat soluble vitamins). Other supplements such as Iron, B12, or ingredients in the supplement may be affecting your energy, blood sugar level, etc. Anemia, diabetes, hypothyroidism are among a number of possibilities. Play it safe and see your Dr. for some simple testing.
