What can having low blood pressure do to the body?

Someone i know ( in their 30's) had a headache the other day and then their ears blocked which they could not hear anything, then they fell and fainted, does this sound like low blood pressure? or something else? today they have a headache again and feel a little weak. What could this be?
I have told them to go the doctors but hopefully i will get some answers here to explain to them what could have happened in order for them to finally agree on going to the doctors.
Thanks in Advance...

  1. well yes low blood pressure can cause a lack of blood to the brain which can cause those symptoms BUT

thos symptoms can also be a sign of a neurological complication or a circulatory complication (complication with either the heart, ateries/veins, blood and volume of blood in the veins etc).

Either way its quite serious and the need to SEE A DOCTOR ASAP! Please!

  2. I have very low blood pressure such to the point where doctors can have a hard time finding it during physicals. However, if I have drink loads of fluids and make sure that I get the recommended sodium intake, I am able to keep the headaches, dizziness, and mental confusion away.

Usually low blood pressure goes hand-in-hand with dehydration. You can tell when your blood pressure is low no matter what but that your heart races when you go from a laying down or sitting position to standing. One ER asked me if I was afraid of standing (laugh) but then a clinic doctor thought I was dehydrated and it took more then 2 large IV bags of fluid before I even thought I had to urinate (not that I had problems normally but the fluid should have made it come on quickly with 1/2 bag). That proved it right there.

    Best of luck!

  3. This sounds like high blood pressure. I suffer from it so the symptoms for me at the same. A nagging headache, stopped up ears, but I have never fainted. This isn’t good. Low blood pressure makes you faint, and it makes you feel weak but I don’t think it gives you a headache. Also your pulse becomes weak. Every pharmacy has a pressure monitor that is free to the public. Convince that person to go to one.
