what are the side effects of prenatal vitamins?

I would like to take prenatal vitamins for 3 reasons,

be healthier
make my breasts grow
make my hair grow faster

I am not pregnant but would like to know if prenatal vitamins help those 3 causes, any help?

  1. Such vitamins provide the nutrients for the baby such as folic acid and calcium. So, what is taken from the mother’s blood to nourish the baby is replaced, plus what prevents rickets or birth defects is provided. Take supplements for your age if needed. For hair, skin, nails, protein like fish is good. For breast development, genetics. For better health, eat from the list of foods believed to be the most beneficial.

  2. I haven’t heard of prenatal vitamins doing this (other than the being healthier reason).. if it was this simple to make your breasts grow and your hair grow faster, then I’m sure it would have already been in the news, etc. etc. "Prenatal Vitamins Make Breasts and Hair Grow!"

But as there have been no such reports, they probably don’t do any of that. :( Sorry. I do know that they can make you a bit nauseated.. at least in my experience.

  3. If you are looking to be healthier, just take a multivitamin/mineral supplement designed for women. Prenatal vitamins will not make your hair grow faster, now will they increase the size of your breasts. Save yourself some money by just purchasing a multivitamin/mineral supplement, because prenatal vitamins are more expensive than other vitamins.
