  1. Here’s a good list of drugs used for hypertension. It is categorized by drug class with some some common drugs in that class.

    Diuretics (aka water pills): hydrocholorothiazide, furosemide, bumentanide
    ACE-Inhibitor: Lisinopril, Enalapril, Captopril
    ARB: valsant, temisartan
    Beta-blockers: propanolol, metoprolol, atenolol
    Calcium Channel blockers: amlopidipine, verapamil, diltiazem
    Alpha-blocker: doxazozin
    Alpha-2-Agonist: clonidine
    Alpha & Beta Blocker: carvedilol, labetalol
