What are the best vitamins, herbs, etc. for gum (as in mouth) health?

In addition to flossing and brushing twice daily, I would like to know what foods or supplements I can take to improve or stabilize the state of my gums (and thus, my teeth). I've seen reports that say that Vitamin C and Vitamin A are very good but I'd like to verify. Thanks!

  1. Vitamin C is essential to gum health (Scurvy is a result of a lack of C)
You also need calcium and a fluoride rinse is a great idea. Gum disease is caused by plaque bacteria, vitamins and herbs do not eradicate bacteria in your mouth. Healthy people have a greater ability to fight off the bacteria, but the best thing you can do for oral health is to thoroughly brush and meticulously floss every day and limit sugary foods that tend to make plaque bacteria grow faster. Of course any vitamin or herb that promotes a healthy immune system will assist your white blood cells in fighting off the bacteria

  2. Vitamin C, CoQ10, non alcohol based mouthwashes, mouthwashes that contain tea tree oil are good ones, myrrh, green tea,

  3. fluoride and lotsa water. follow up with your dentist every 6 months.

  4. Try a mixture of peppermint oil and almond oil. Do not use mouthwashes with alcohol in them. Ethanol is an alcohol.
The best thing I have done is buy a water jet flosser ( KITTY HYDRO FLOSS WATER JET ORAL SYSTEM FLOSSER ), and I put hydrogen peroxide or a chlorohexidine based mouthwash in the water-trough.
I have left you a link below – you can buy them elsewhere online. You can rinse with a hydrogen peroxide dilution, which is excellent. Buy 6% strength Hydrogen peroxide from the chemist, dilute 2:1 and rinse after brushing twice a day. Be careful, it’s a poison.
Use those little pick brushes instead of dental floss.
Do not eat chocolate or anything with too much salt.
    Good luck.

  5. Vitamin C is good as it helps boost the immune system in fighting off gum disease and other dental problems caused by bacteria. Using natural oral care product will also help ward off bacteria that are continuously present in the oral cavity as it can keep the mouth well hydrated and salivated.
