  6. I seriously beg to differ about the saturated fat comment. Increased sat fat in your diet can cause a chain of negative events to occur (you’ve already mentioned one) which in the end can EASILY result in a malfunctioning liver which is important for its detoxification qualities to say the very least. Non-alcohol related liver disease is very real, is diet related, and can definately affect your immune system which is what you said we should be concerned about. It’s not just in sickly ppl.

  8. If you want to argue with me about the saturated fat theory, then you are just asking for it. Let me say that even if liver damage does any damage to your immune system, leading to arterial inflammation, etc., it is not saturated fat that does it. It is a bunch of other unhealthy stuff, like high fructose corn syrup, and so much of any kind of sugar. They are the disease culprits. Not fats are, except for Omega-6′s, which are rancid to begin with. To prove me right, read Dr. Russell Blaylock.

  13. I have fallen off the health wagon and need to get back on but, I was eating 80% raw with lean protein and NO sweets. Half my raw foods were fruit. The first week I lost 8 lbs. Lost a total of 14 in almost three weeks. My mom got ill, I got stressed and backslid. My GERD started acting up again and now I’m back to eating healthy. I would imagine the carbs (calories etc) I get from the fruit is better than carbs from potato chips.

  19. Fruit and vegetables are obviously going to be the best snack options I’d think. Fruit has sugar, but it’s gluclose rather than refined sugar, so it’s not as bad?

  21. @BitterAbstract I was thinking the same thing. Natalie is always advocating eating grains and also demonizing saturated fats. I have been following a paleo lifestyle for about 6 years now and have never felt better.

  22. No. We don’t need to cut down on fruit intake, although fruits have a lot of sugar. Fruits have plenty of vitamins like veges.
