vitamins for my hair?

So I've been trying to get my hair to grow. I brush it a lot and deep condition. I want to take some vitamins to help my hair but right now I am taking one a day vitamins for teens. Would it be safe to take more vitamins? I don't want to take too many because it's bad for you...so I heard biotin helps so can I buy that and take those too?

thanks :]
- oh and my hair is like 6 inches past my shoulder.
thankss. i just bought the mane n' tail shampoo and conditioner [:

  1. Hahahaha, I’ve done everything and I mean EVERYTHING to make my hair grow faster. Why? I don’t know, my hair already grows about 1 inch and a half per month, which is REALLY fast considering hair on average grows about only half an inch per month. I already have long hair, but I constantly trim my hair of split ends so even though my hair grows fast, it’s like not fast enough if that makes sense?

But believe me take biotin… Only works on certain people. Vitamins don’t work on everyone. All vitamins have different effects on people. For some lucky people it makes hair and nails grow like crazy. And for others it doesn’t work at all. But through all the stuff I’ve done, I’ve realized and found out these are the best things to do for your hair to keep it healthy and growing stronger and faster.

    - Keep a well balanced and healthy diet and exercise regularly. If your body is healthy, so will your hair. Eat lots of protein rich foods. Fish, eggs, lean meat in general, nuts, and whole grain bread.
    - Take vitamins NOT TOO MUCH, two kinds are okay. Vitamins that contain amino acids, B vitamins, zinc and magnesium are all good for your hair. You can try Biotin if you like, but like i said earlier, it works for some and not for others.
    - Treat your hair like a piece of fine old lace. Treat it carefully avoiding any unnecessary brushing, combing or handling.
    - Avoid use of hot water, hot blow dryers or other hair care tools that may stress the hair.
    - Have a weekly scalp massage to provide stimulation to the hair follicles.
    - Do a series of ongoing hot oil treatments to protect the hair’s shaft.
    - Have regular trims to eliminate split ends and allow the hair to look and feel healthier.
    - Get plenty of rest and sleep to allow your body to grow hair.
    - Drink plenty of water and other fluids to keep body and hair healthy and hydrated.
    - Use good deep conditioning shamposs and conditioners. Try the Mane and Tail shampoo and conditioner. It’s freaking amazing. It makes your grow freakishly fast and strong… Like a horse :D It works for a lot people. It’s awesome.
Do this consistently, and after about 4-6 months your hair should start showing results. As for myself, I used to do these things and had beautiful silky soft shiny hair. But then something called COLLEGE came along and turned every little bit of time I had into studying, driving around everywhere like a maniac, working really late hours, getting about 2-3 hours of sleep, studying, stuffing my face with all types of fast food which of course is bad for me and studying. So now, I no longer look like or resemble my glory days in highschool and just look like crap. But for you do the stuff I listed above and your hair will love you forever… Until you reach college -__-

  2. ok well you are doing really good, and the brushing and deep conditioning really helps, and as a hairstylist i have found that prenatal vitimans are great for ur hair (not to mention nails)
but no you should not be taking more than one kind of vitiman at a time unless prescribed by a doctor
    hope i helped

  3. Go to vitamin cottage they have a great selection of vitamins like this one :http://www.vitamincottage.com/hair_nutrients_by_solaray_120_capsules_item_122781-p-5854.html

  4. I’m trying to get my hair to grow, too. These vitamins
    seem to be beneficial:
    -GNC Ultra Nourishair
    -Biotin
    -B Complex
    -MSM
    -Folic Acid

If you don’t want to have to take a ton of vitamins, I would
go with a multi vitamin like the one you’re taking or GNC
    Ultra Nourishair.

    Good luck!
