Too many vitamins- Best answer will be rewarded pts. !?

OKay. At dinner my mom makes me take 11 pills of vitamins...1 is riboflavin, 4 magneesium, 1 calcuim and a multi vitamin with a glass of milk. Then a few hours later I have to take 2 normal prescriptions...Seriously, is that good for my system?

I am so nervous that one day I'm going to puke them all because of all the reactions in my poor stomach.

Where do I draw the line? or am I not the only one with this problem?
I'll be 18 in a few weeks and have a joint condition and a bad immune system

  1. Why your mother is doing this???
Please pass my opinion to her. If young girls is healthy in general – her body should not be disturbed by any artificial products including artificial vitamins. If you would like to give vitamins to your daughter – bettter buy fruits and vegetables every day.Be Healthy! Be natural! Be Happy!

It is strongly recommended to consult your doctor for professional advice. Above mentioned information and recommendations are just general and should be adapted to each person according to personal health indicators and status.

  2. Many vitamins are not toxic in that dose, things like Vitamin C, magnesium, calcium, etc. One to watch out for is Iron. Too much iron can cause serious health problems. Copper can too, albeit to a lesser extent. Things like B-vitamins though can be taken at doses thousands of times more than necessary and produce no adverse effects. To be safe, always follow the recommended dosing instructions on the bottle.

  3. Yes I do think that too many vitamins could be hazardous to your body. It might just be overloading to your body to be taking that many vitamins.

  4. i really think thats a bit too much

if you dont have any health problems , then take at least 1 or 2 a day

too much vitamen 3 is bad for you

is this every day? you could get a drug overdose ,

  5. does your mom muscle tests you on these? if not it may be a bad combination or you may not need them anymore, go to a herb specialist, i do and i am fit healthy and ready for anything. what meds are you on, check side effects, but yes taking a herb or (vitamin) u don’t need causes side effects like the feel of throwing up, puking, or sickness

  6. yes you can take too much. your body will get rid of the un needed ones but after a while it will be hard on your body. if you eat food. lol and your veggies, and a lot of different kinds, you really don’t need all that. maybe a multi twice a week or something like that. let me ask you a question, are you healthy?

  7. that is fine.
whatever your body doesn’t need it will flush
that is why if you take too much vitamin B your pee will turn neon yellow.
if you are concerned ask your dr the next time you see him.
my dr told me i need to take a multivitamin, 3 mg folic acid, 2000 of vitamin D, and an extra vitamin B, C and calcium.
most people don’t get enough of their daily vitamins in their meals therefore adding supplements is usually needed.
depending on your age you should be able to get away with a multivitamin, extra calcium and extra vitamin D and C.
    but again ask your dr.
    hope this helps!

  8. Not trying to be funny but are you male or female? You didn’t say so that’s why I’m asking.
But speaking for myself….being a woman I take 2 womens vit. 1 in the morning….and 1 in the evening…and mid day I take chewable calcuim and a iron tab.

Taking too much of something is not a good thing….example if you take too much iron…you will get backed up…
