This vitamin is important for keeping body tissues, such as gums and muscles in good shape. C is also key if you get a cut or wound because it helps you heal. This vitamin also helps your body resist infection. This means that even though you can’t always avoid getting sick, vitamin C makes it a little harder for your body to become infected with an illness.
Which foods are rich in vitamin C?
citrus fruits, like oranges
cantaloupe
strawberries
tomatoes
broccoli
cabbage
kiwi fruit
sweet red peppers
and not all tomatoes have the salmonela :) you can still eat the plum tomatoes

You can still get tomatoes in the form of soups, salsa, ketchup, and canned forms. Also, you can still buy fresh grape tomatoes.

Tomatoes are known for their Vitamin C. A medium-sized tomato will contain about 23 mg of vitamin C.

You can get the vitamin C of tomatoes from any variety of sources including orange juice. The first post is correct, though, that you can get your tomato fix in alternative places. Tomato sauces, salsa, V8 juice, etc.

Anything with Lycopene in it. That is the cancer fighting amino acid found in Tomatoes. Try a men’s multi vitamin, but make sure it has this amino. It is also good for prostate health.
