  1. I’m biased — being CEO of HeartMath and all — but it still excites me to see this cool overview of media interviews on the importance of this research on stress, emotion, health and well-being.

  2. I love HeartMath – it’s changed my life. Awesome research too! I tell all my friends about HeartMath. No matter who you are or what you do we all can benefit from what they have to offer.

  3. Cool piece. Glad someone’s finally shedding some light on why I feel so crappy when I’m stressed ;)

  4. Well done and good information about the basics of cardiac coherence.
Also in The Netherlands many people use the Heartmath coherence approach.

  5. let me play runescape….

  6. Have they not travelled in the land so that they should have hearts with which to understand, or ears with which to hear? For surely it is not the eyes that are blind, but blind are the hearts which are in the breasts
    Quran 22:46

  7. We have finally found our true essence, we have been living in the brain for too long, it is time to listen to our hearts and to follow its messages :)

  8. Finally we humans are rising above the lower Chakras ( Root, Lumbar, Solar, Heart, Voice, Vision and Spiritual ).
    duced.

Incidentally, when people say there is no research regarding the chaotic pattern of HRV. This is not 100% accurate. 3500 years ago it was called ‘MANDUK PARINI’ – the frog pattern pulse rate change. The coherent pattern was called ‘SARP PARINI’ – sinuous , snake-like pattern. Having said this we have now shown in a modern scientific way what was known in India innately.

  9. Oh how I love to see the smiles on childrens’ faces towsrd the end, there.
    This is SO beautiful!!!

    as well as Dr Lipton.

  12. nothing new.we all know for years already.stress can stop your heart one day.just like that.

  13. Thank you for posting this clip and all your other clips. A great reinforcer for the summer training I received for my high school classroom. I eagerly await my students.

  14. I always wondered why do people use the heart as an organ to relate to their emotions, why not any other organ like the liver? they have used this symbol for thousands of years, why did they choose the heart? lets say 1000 years ago, they knew the that the heart thinks as this documentary states, how did they know that thousands of years ago…?
Maaaaan the other day I read in the Qura’an something about “8uloobakom (your hearts) thinking…” it kind of took my by for a second.

    continued…

  15. Then I made my researches about how is that possible? and I got the same results stated here. Science is amazing! It explains everything!

Thank you for sharing it! Its a great video!

  16. I remember reading at least 30 years ago that in ages past it was thought that consciousness was in the heart, not the head. I have always kind of thought of the “fall” as when we (as a species) went into our heads (dual thinking — good/evil, judgement, subject/object, etc.) I think this is a necessary evolution but now we need to bring it back into balance with our heart. We’ve got to get back to the garden, indeed!

  17. I have made a big and amazing discovery and I need to speak to a scientist to help me sort this out. This discovery has a high potential of being very beneficial to everybody. If you are able to give some advice on how to proceed or could direct me to the right person that would be great. My realization constitutes a legitimate target of scientific research. Knowing what my discovery is about and not taking action would be scientific misconduct.Thank you
