The Healthiest Way To Cook Vegetables


Vegetables have plenty of vitamins, nutrients and should be a primary part of your diet along with fruits, meats, and grains. If your vegetables are improperly prepared they can be less nutritious and not as healthy to consume. I demonstrate a way to cook your vegetables without losing important vitamins and minerals your body needs. Why dump your vitamins down your sink? Should we boil, steam or fry our vegetables?   4. I usually sautée or steam. For fagioli/green beans I sautee in olive oil with onions and garlic.

  8. Thank you Huy! I enjoy foods prepared like this much better than just boiling away the flavor. I used to drink the water after boiling vegetables with some added olive oil and pepper so it kind tasted like a soup but I like the flavor much better when it stays in the vegetables by steaming them.

  17. Thank you Karen! Yes it seems I went from 250 LBS down to 243 LBS during my revised diet plan. I ride bikes with my daughters 3 to 5 times a week for a few hours a day. My blood pressure dropped 2o points since I started this dietary program of mine.
