Best hair products for african-american girls? Seriously PLEASE?
See, I finally transitioned my hair to natural. It's really soft yet very fine textured. I am confused to what shampoos, leave-in conditioners and deep conditioners I should use for my hair type.... one person told me Mizani is good...then another told me about Carol's Daughter...or Silk Elements, or Giovanni, or Biosilk, or Aphogee, or Organic Root Stimulator. I used ORS, Silk Elements and Pantene for Women of Color. But here are my actual questions:
1) I heard that you should switch up the products you use to wash your hair every once and a while. For an example, if you been using Silk Elements Shampoo for a while, switch to the ORS Shampoo another time. I don't understand why to switch up the products. Is this true? If so, can you make it clear as to why it has to be this way?
2) What are the best SALON BRAND (i.e. Nexxus, Mizani) products for my type of hair? (My hair is all natural now. Have been using Silk Elements products. My hair is very fine, sensitive, soft, and--when straightened--it is down to the edge of my neck, just barely touching my shoulders.) Please.... I am only 17. I can't get information about "online products" that are supposedly good. I don't know how to get these products and my mom won't go for it. I need products that may come from Walmart, Walgreens, Sally's Beauty Supply, or some where that is found in any city.
3) Lastly, I need a couple of tips on how to grow my hair line thicker. I had cornrows recently, which were done by my aunt. I told her to braid loosely, but I can see that my edges are still thinning. How can I grow this back? I know some women say to get vitamins. A hair stylist told me to get Vitamin E. So, I have been using it, but I don't know if it's working. If it is, I don't notice. I know of Biotin, however, when I had the 1000mg Biotin, I had break outs. Biotin can cause breakouts and my face is everything to me, so I didn't go back to that source. Although Vitamin E can cause more acne for certain people, it didn't appear that I got as big a breakout as I did from biotin. I also used the B complex, which didn't appear that helpful...
I heard massaging the scalp and the temple area with certain oils helps promote hair growth. Some will say to use warm extra virgin olive oil or coconut oil....but I don't know where to buy those. I get confused as to what they are...do they mean the actual cooking oils?! I never knew, women never elaborated on the details. So, I feel helpless and more puzzled than ever. Any suggestions for me, please?
How can you tell and help high blood pressure?
Okay, I know I just asked a question just like this but I'm really starting to flip out. I've been seeing answers on here that are making me want to get my blood pressure checked now and its 12 in the morning.
How do you know when you have high blood pressure?
How can you help it without medicine?
Anything will help, just not the doctor thing because I'm planning on getting it checked at one of those Walgreens things tomorrow.
where can i buy some damn choline?
I bought some online but the vendor canceled my order because it was out of stock D: I'm getting impatient so ive been looking around. Rite-Aid and CVS Pharmacy didn't have any. Would Walgreens or Walmart have Choline? I don't want to embark on a 24 minute drive to the Vitamin Shoppe D:
I don't want online vendors...I want a brick and mortar store because im tired of waiting lol
Does Vitamin Water contain any addictive substances? [Ha or like any other sunstances?]?
Because I've been drinking it for like a year now. My dad doesn't buy it anymore because he has gout and he can't have certain things. Without Vitamin water, I get stomach problems, so I save money each week and go to Walgreens and buy it. I'm not faking, like it's now crucial to my diet. It's the yellow energy one that contains guarana, but I don't think it's addictive. A little help, or guesses at least? :) Thanks.
Where can I find quality vitamins on the internet without paying a ton of money?
I am looking for some quality vitamins. The vitamins they sell at Walgreens and GNC are full of fillers that don't disolve. Waste of money! Everything I've found on the net is outrageously expensive, .00 dollars or more plus shipping. I also want to know it's working in a relatively short amount of time. Please could someone get back to me? I am feeling really run down lately and thought some good nutrients would help.
Thanks alot, Lisa R
I feel a cold coming on? What can I take to stop it in it's tracks?
I am sitting in front of walgreens right now, and I feel a cold coming on. I got a stuffy nose, and a little cough. I live out in dry phoenix arizona. I don't want it to get worse, so can someone suggest what I can buy here, in form of vitamin, or something that I can take tonight, to help kick this or fight it and raise my immunity so it doesn't get any worse?
Which moisturizing cocoa butter lotion should I use?
I need a cocoa butter lotion that will moisturize and fade and smooth scars and blemishes away on my body. I am stuck between Vaseline Cocoa Butter Deep Conditioning Body Lotion with Cocoa Butter & Vitamin E and Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula With Vitamin E. Which one would be better for me Palmer's or Vaseline.

Best vitamins for hair, skin & nails?
So I went to walgreens and they have 2 different kinds of vitamins for hair skin & nails. One had collagen + vitamin C, and the other had a ton of different vitamins (both Nature's Bounty).
I'm asking because I had a baby 5 months ago and my hair is falling out like crazy (completely normal, but i'm no fan of the disposition).
Also, I have nail psoriasis, and I was hoping that it would help with that as well.
Please help me decide and as for recommendations, brand names would be nice. Thanks!
I just did some more research and a lot of people say that after taking the one w/ a lot of different vitamins, they break out. I would prefer that not happen.
