Are liquid vitamins acceptable in place of tablets?

Lots of conflicting information and I can't seem to find good sources. Stomach acids seem to destroy some things which means you can't absorb them, but basic vitamins and minerals seem to be okay? Your body doesn't "instantly" begin absorbing this stuff, it has to pass through a rather acidic environment.

Is taking a multivitamin AND drinking slimfast daily overloading on vitamins?

Slimfast has a lot of vitamins and minerals too I think. I also take a multi vitamin for women. Could this be too much of some vitamins?
versanl......FOCUS on the question that was ASKED. I didn't ask your opinion on Slimfast which by the way is rated by consumer reports as an excellent source of nutrition. Also I only have it for breakfast usually so I get plently of food from all the groups!

vitamins, minerals, and supplements..oh my!?

Hi everyone!
So I just got a job (finally) at a local health food market. I will be working in the vitamin/supplement section of the store and expected to be a go-to person for supplements. I do have a degree in nutrition so i am familiar with the basic vitamins and minerals..but not so much with herbal supplements (ginko...st jonhs wort...that kinda stuff) can anyone tell me about some supplements? just basic info on some on the market? Thanks!

What is your preferred hand lotion/moisturizer?

I'm a guy, so I have no idea what to look for when I walk into the store. I need something for dry, cracked, and particularly ashy skin. I bought Gold Bond Ultimate Skin Healing Therapy Lotion with aloe, but it doesn't work very well; it just makes my hands oily despite the claim that it doesn't, and it doesn't really moisturize or make my hands any more smooth or less ashy. It just makes them less cracked. Any suggestions? By the way, I eat plenty of vitamins and minerals, take daily supplements, and drink plenty of water, so I know that's not the problem.
Once again--I'm a guy, so nothing girly-smelling please!
Preferebly little/no smell at all.

What factors do you consider before buying a weight-loss diet supplement?

Before you are prompted to buy an over the counter diet supplement, what factors do you consider? For example, I find thermogenic properties work better for me. I also consider the amount of vitamins and minerals the supplement has. You may feel organic properties are more important. What factors do you consider before buying a weight-loss diet supplement?
