Best Vegetarian Recipes l Lentil Walnut Veggie Burgers

How to make Lentil Walnut Veggie Burgers Video. Veggie Burgers are a nutritional alternative to beef burgers. Many people don't think of making their own veggie burgers but they are really easy to make at home. Store bought veggie burgers are nutritional but often very high in sodium and preservatives. You can substitute the eggs in this recipe with "flax eggs" which are a mix of 6 tbsp ground flax to 2 tbsp boiling water. The milk in this recipe can be substituted with either soya milk or rice milk. This makes the recipe completely vegan! Lentils are high in fiber which makes them a good protector against bowel cancer. I recommend organic, low sodium lentils if you are buying canned. They are an excellent source of protein and are an important source of B vitamins, especially B3, which is essential for both a healthy nervous system and digestive system. They are high in iron, zinc and calcium and are a good replacement for red meat. Like meat, the iron in lentils is better absorbed when they are eaten with a good source of vitamin C like leafy green vegetables. Walnuts are an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids, a special type of fat that is essential for our bodies, but that the body cannot produce. (Re omega 3 see also flaxseeds.blogspot.com ) Walnuts are also a very good source of monounsaturated fats. Walnuts contain many powerful antioxidants, including ellagic and gallic acids, pus antioxidant phenols and vitamin E. The minerals copper and manganese are also ...

Solution Diet Tips | Solution Diet Guide | Diets Dieting | Losing Weight | Calories

www.ebookdotcom.com --- SOLUTION DIET | Solution Diet Tips | Solution Diet Guide! Fruit & Oatmeal Diet The oatmeal and fruit diet challenge is to consume only oatmeal and fruit for 30 days to achieve weight-loss goals. Oatmeal, a food full of nutritional value, has proven to show great results in reducing high levels of cholesterol and providing the body with a valuable amount of fiber. Although this strict temporary diet consisting of only oatmeal and fruit can help you achieve your weight-loss goals, it is not recommended as a permanent diet solution. Consult with a health care professional before starting any diet to ensure it is the right solution for you. The 30-Day Plan The first rule of an oatmeal and fruit diet is to only consume oatmeal and fruit for each meal for 30 days. It is recommended to eat only whole oatmeal (whole-grain oats), which you can purchase at some grocery stores or at organic and natural food markets. Stay away from instant and prepackaged oatmeal and granola snack bars, although some say you can add these to your diet after the first week. For optimized weight-loss results, consume only 1/2 cup oatmeal for each meal during the first week. You can combine this with 1/2 cup skim milk. For this first week, keep your calorie intake between 900 and 1200 calories per day. After the first week, you can continue eating the 1/2 cup oatmeal three times a day and also incorporate fresh fruit, such as 1/2 cup strawberries, oranges, bananas, apples ...

A Delicious Way to Prepare Avocados

Vegetables have plenty of vitamins, nutrients and should be a primary part of your diet along with fruits and meats. Avocados are a very healthy and nutritious fruit. Avocado cholesterol diet is beneficial for lowering cholesterol, despite of avocado fat content and carbohydrate. The reason is that avocado is a great source of heart-healthy monounsaturated fat. The avocado fat is a type of fat that may actually help to raise levels of HDL "good"cholesterol" which actually protects arteries, while lowering levels of LDL "bad" cholesterol". I have come up with my own recipe that you can use as an appetizer to your main meal and works well at parties. No it is not Guacamole, it is something much different. Just some facts about Olive oil which I also add to the broth in preparation of this dish. All types of olive oil contain monounsaturated fat, but "extra-virgin" or "virgin" olive oils are the least processed forms, so they're the most heart healthy. Those types contain the highest levels of polyphenols, a powerful antioxidant that also can promote heart health. For this tasty dish you will need: 1 Avacodo 1 Tablespoon of fresh lemon juice 1 tablespoon of olive oil 1/2 Cup of vegetable broth (homemade is preferred) 1/2 Cup of milk (non fat is preferred) 2 heaping tablespoons of non fat plain unsweetened yogurt 1/4 Teaspoon of garlic powder 1/4 Teaspoon of onion powder Touch of Fresh ginger and ginger powder Black ground pepper to taste (topping) Cayenne pepper to taste ...
