Will this new shampoo I got help my hair grow?
Well, today I went to the market and bought a family sized shampoo called "suave" for :49. It is infused with citrus extracts and vitamin e. I heard that vitamin e is suppose to help the blood circulation in your scalp, but what about the citrus extracts? What does that exactly do! I have also been noticing my hair thinning around the forehead top ever since I started brushing my hair back. When I use to brush it forward, I didn't see my scalp, but now that I brush it back, I can now see my scalp in the front. I asked my dad and he told me that it's probably not me becoming bald, but instead it may just be because you brush your hair two different ways instead of training it to just go one way. For instance, when I wake up and go to school, I usually don't do anything to my hair and just keep it going forward, but when I go somewhere important such as "Church" then I brush it back very softly with water. Don't use any hair products in my hair, but I use to use gel. I am only 20 years of age, and I really do not want to become bald, so what are your advices about this situation? Also, one more thing I wanted to ask is will getting a haircut cause hair loss to? I heard that if you damage your hair in any way, that it can cause hair loss, and I assume that since the barber uses a blade that it may damage my hair in some ways! Is it true? Well, I think that's about all I have to say.
Thanks in advance.
I need similar, but cheaper hair products to the ones that I will list and they have to be available @ sally's?
(Sally's Beauty Supply Store)
ApHogee Shampoo for damaged hair-.99
ApHogee Pro-Vitamin Leave-in conditioner- .99
ApHogee Keratin and Green Tea Restructurizer- .99
One n' only ceramic silk flat iron creme- .49
If it helps, I will be using these products when I finish perming my hair. My hair is kind of coarse and dry. Also, I am black. PLEASE KEEP THAT INTO CONSIDERATION. As stated, I need similar products but I need the cost to be less. Please and thank you.
A few questions about hair-extensions/hair growth…?
So I've gone back and forth for a few weeks as far as getting this done.
Back in November I had to have my hair cut off very short in order to get it all to grow at an even length, but the problem is my hair doesn't grow quickly at all ( it took almost 3 years to get it from my shoulders to an inch or 2 above my breasts), hence the want for extensions until I can get it to my desired length.
I don't personally know anyone who has had them before so I wanted to ask here to get some feedback.
Right now, my hair is, at it's longest, 2-3 inches [in the back, my "bangs" fall to the middle of my cheeks].
Is this too short to have extensions put in?
What is the best method to use when getting them?
I'd prefer a method where my hair won't fall out or be damaged to the point I'd have to cut it off short again, completely defeating my purpose.
Also, how expensive do these usually run? Or is that something that varies from salon/stylist to salon/stylist?
Also will I be able to shampoo/condition, brush, style, etc. the extensions after (and if) I get them?
Or does anyone know of any shampoos/vitamins/etc that will help accelerate hair growth?
Any "experienced" input would be extremely appreciated!
Thanks :)
