I need to know some products?
Ok three questions..
First anyone who's a cosmetologist or knows a lot about hair. HELP ME! We live in an apartment complex with incredibly bad water. I have a shower with a filter, I Malibu my hair twice a month and I use Ion shampoo and Conditioner to try and keep the incredibly rusty hard water off my hair. Anyway, As a result my hair is very dead and lifeless. Its just so very dry and just yuck. I'm a blond so that doesn't help it. I need to know a shampoo, conditioner and anything to use on my hair to revive it. I've gotten highlights and lowlights twice this year so that doesn't help. Anyway, I don't care if its salon brand or store, I just need something that helps with buildup and has intense moisture, also something thats good for heat, bc I straighten my hair. Any recommendations?
Also any vitamins I could take?
And what product should I put in my hair for straightening and styling. I want my hair to look like this, just healthy..

Sorry I went on and on about nothing. Thanks in advance :)
this isnt an question. its an ANSWER to prbly the most common question on here. "hair"?
i've seen soo many posts from people asking how they can make their hair grow longer or be healthier. and im just going to post this in hopes people will get all the answers they need right here.
first off, theres not "proven" way to make your hair grow faster. or so they say. but it never hurts to make it healthier. it just makes sense that healthier hair would grow at least SOMEWHAT faster than non healthy hair. so here are some tips:
1) take vitamins!!! E & B vitamins are especially good for your skin/hair. also try "hair skin and nails" vitamins. and you also might want to try some biotin. but remember, take these all in moderation. don't overdose.
2) chop off those split ends! people say you should get a haircut ever 4-6 weeks, but everyones hair is different. you should just get a trim whenever the ends of your hair seem frayed or you have split ends. that doesn't mean you have to take off 2 whole inches, maybe just 1/2 an inch or even less.
3) try and minimize heat damage. if you can, let your hair air dry naturally. and try and lay off straighteners and curlers. your hair doesnt have to look perfect EVERY day. personally, i just put some mouse in my hair and let it go natural and only use heating tools for special events.
4) eat a healthy diet. healthy you = healthy hair
5) try and deep condition once a week.
6) massage your scalp while in the shower. this stimulates blood flow in the scalp.
7) if you're going out into the sun, add a product that protects your hair from UVA/UVB rays. or wear a hat.
8) find a shampoo/conditioner that effectively moisturizes (sp?) your hair. i used to try and research shampoos before i bought them....but soon realized online reviews are POINTLESS. everyones hair is different. what may work for someone else might be horrible for you or vice versa. so shop around.
9) if you can don't wash your hair everyday. this strips the scalp of your natural oils and can leave your hair dry.
hope that helped :)
p.s. washing your hair with vinegar every few weeks makes it shiny
p.s.s. avocado or maynoise hair masques never hurt either ;)
Is QOD GOLD ALQUIMIST MASK the correct KERATIN Treatment?
Hi,
I just ordered 1000ml bottle of QOD GOLD from www.keratin4u.com considering that I am buying keratin, and when I got the bottle, I was surprised that it's written on it: "QOD GOLD Alquimist Mask"..
I don't know what does "Alquimist Mask" mean, is it really keratin? Or it is fake? Something after treatment (like Shampoo, conditioner, vitamin hair masks, ...)?
Can anyone tell me? I feel that i have been cheated, and these guys sold me non-keratin claiming it is!
I don't know if that would give the effect of hair straightening, making it shiny, reduce the volume, and last for some months, as a cure for successive coloring, etc!
Thanks,
A. A.
what will help my hair grow?
in high school my hair was about 2 inches below my shoulders. I'm going to be a junior in college and my hair is now about 2 inches above my shoulders. When I was in my second semester of my freshman year I got a really cute bob hair cut that was pretty short. my hair has definitely grown out from that but I'm having trouble getting it past my shoulders. I feel like every time I go to the hair dresser and they "trim" my hair it gets chopped off even though i say i just want a trim.
I am currently taking hair skin nail vitamins, I take calcium, a multi vitamin and my hair dresser recently told me to try prenatal vitamins.I'd like to know things that have worked and have not worked so I don't waste time and money. It can be a home remedy or something you have bought. thank you!!!
I forgot to mention that I use Paul Mitchel shampoo, conditioner, heat protectand spray and straightner. I also use redken deep conditioning treatment and I color my hair blonde by a professional but not with bleach. any shampoos or other products that are better please let me know =)
Questions about deep conditioners/colored hair?
Hi, i have a question about the garnier fructis 3 minute deep-conditioning mask (the one that comes in the circular tub)
my hair is naturally a dull brown color, but im italian w/ dark dark eyes, so i dyed my hair really dark brown, almost black. i like the color and i dont want it to fade, but i want to be able to use the garnier fructis mask. it doesnt say on the container if its color safe or not, so im afraid if i use it, it will make my color fade :[
i had to buy special expensive shampoo/conditioner from my salon for fine hair b/c my hair tends to not hold color well, even when i use color shampoo/cond from walmart. so im just concerned lol.
i heard that deep conditioning can actually help you retain your color longer, is this true? because in that case, the garnier deep conditioner would be good for my hair, and wouldnt fade it right?
also, ive read that putting pure vitamin e (if u were to pop some liquid gel capsules) on your hair helps reduce breakage, is this true? would this fade the color at all?
thanks, and sorry if my questions were repetetive lol
yeah, the fortifying deep conditioner that i have is from the sleek and shine line, not the color shield line. is that okay?? i've used it before with color treated hair, but it faded (but i dyed it myself, and it was pretty much going to fade no matter what b/c i wasnt using the right shampoo/conditioner)
i dont want to have to buy the color shield version and trash the sleek and shine one :/
