Help! I am only a teen and hair is falling out!?
I am only 16 (17 in a couple months) and my hair is falling out. Its been doing this since I was 12ish, maybe 13. It seems to only fall out in the shower but I do pick a few hairs, during the day, off of myself and both the table and computer. Yes I dye my hair but the hair dye isn't the problem because even my natural hair (before I started dyeing my hair) fell out. I also use a gentle hair dye plus my scalp does not get irritated when I dye it. I have done everything suggested on the web, gone to the doctor, bought products at Sally's recommended by the employees, let my hair dry instead of blow drying it, taking vitamins, switching to wide tooth combs, not using hair styling products (gel, mouse, hairspray, etc.), and switching to sulfate free shampoo and conditioner. I've even tried dying my hair less often. When I went to the doctor they did blood tests and said I was low on vitamin D and other than that I was completely normal and healthy. They said to take 2000 units of vitamin D once a day. They examined my scalp and said I wasn't having any reaction to hair dye but couldn't find anything wrong. I only have parkland medicaid insurance and don't have any other doctors in my area that will except it. My own doctor doesn't even except it anymore so I can't be seen for anything at all by him. What do I do!? Thank you for the help.
I used to have nice hair but as I've gotten oler (I'm 34), it's gotten frizzy. Is there anything I can do?
I don't know if it's a vitamin deficiancy or the humidity of living in Tennessee (from California). I use everything from grocery store shampoo and conditioner to high end salon products. I've tried anti-friz stuff (including Paul Mitchell) and it makes my hair look oily.
It's so frizzy it's unmanageable. I used to have soft, shiny hair about ten years ago.
Thanks so much!!!

nautral shampoo? the benefits of it?
ok so i bought some shampoo and conditioner called down under naturals i've never heard of it but it looks alright so i'm wondering if it's ok? the description on the back says "compromised of fruit extracts and natural botanicals. Hair and scalp are infused with vitamin B5,B12, cellulose, fruit proteins and UV protecters to fortify and revive locks, leaving them 60% stronger and shinier" I've never heard of this stuff and am not a hair products expert but does it sound okay?
Does anyone have any awesome hair-growing tips? Detailed story inside.?
I recently lost alot of hair due to a botched dye job, more like an allergic reaction that a skin test didn't work for. It gave me a kind of chemical hair cut and made my hair really thin in some places. I've always had short hair, but I got alot of it cut off and now it's kind of a boy cut. I want to grow it out since I've been doing treatments for it. I've been using the Pantene Retoratives shampoo and conditioner, which works great, infusium 23 leave-in treatment and I've been taking a multi-vitamin and biotin. I've also stopped blow-drying and flat ironing it. I dont' dry it with a towel and cut down on brushing.
I have olive oil on my hair right now.
Other than this, is there anything that anyone else did to grow their hair out faster? I'm not looking for a silver bullet hair growth miracle, just a little something to speed up the process.
Will vote for best answer.
