Can vitamin C be absorbed in the skin as a topical?
Is there any real proof that vitamin c(or any vitamins or minerals or proteins(e.g. collagen)) are absorbed in the skin and the nutrients used by the body?
My question is concerned with the effectiveness of these lotions that make all these claims with the vitamins. I'm not sure if the body can unitize them(I thought it had to do it through digestion).
Any help or references would be greatly appreciated.
Can you OVERdose on amino acids? Just like how there is a limit to vitamin intake?
I think I am getting all my proteins in my nutritional shakes but there is no information on the amino acids in those proteins. I know there are 8 essential amino acids (22 you use) so I'm also taking a pill to make sure I get them. BUT if i am getting all my amino acids from the drink AND from the pill could i be getting to much of some of the amino acids? I know there is a cap for vitamin/mineral intake but i can't find that kind of information for amino acids.
