Store bought orange juice – is potassium boiled off or not?

Store bought orange juice is boiled, I have heard, to increase its shelf-life.

Does the boiling process affect the level of potassium (which is sensitive to overheating) , and does the boiling affect other things like Vitamin c level?

I know juicing oranges fresh is the best, but way more expensive than buying it at the supermarket.

thanks,,

Can you be healthy by just taking vitamins and eating fruits and vegetables occasionally?

I don't eat at fast food restaurants. Most of my food is natural (bought from natural stores). I do need to drink more water though. I take vitamin C, A and D, E, b12,folic acid, esiak, potassium,zinc,b6, and a multimenral vitaman everyday after I eat dinner. My mother says I'm not healthy just because I take these vitamins. I know shes wrong, if I take all of these basic vitamins everyday I should be pretty healthy right?
If I'm taking all the vitamins the body needs(I know that's not all the body needs, just a statement) it should also prevent any type of sickness right?

good sources of biotin, folate, & copper? (read on)?

I'm dieting around 1,200-1,300 calories a day but i wanna make sure i'm getting most of my body's daily vitamin needs and not lacking any important ones.
Heres what my multivitamin already provides:
100% or over In:
Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Vitamin E, Thiamine, Riboflavin, Niacin, Vitamin B:6, Vitamin B:12, Pantothenic acid, Iodine, Zinc, Selenium

Vitamins that my multi doesn't provide a full ammount of:
Iron-50%
Magnesium-13%
Copper-50%
Manganese-50%
Chrormium-85%
Potassium-0%
Biotin-33%
Folic Acid (Folate)-50%

Could you please list foods rich in the vitamins i listed and i know whole grains/egg yolks are a good source of biotin but is it covering the full ammount i need a day?

i'm trying to eat stuff low in bad fats/sugars etc while trying to get a good ammount of protien/carbs off of the calories i do get, but i dont want to be lacking vitamins because i know its hard to get them all while eating 1200 calories a day.

any help/tips would be good........thanks

help me choose vitamin supplements?

I'm 21, college student with overload school schedule, my bad eating habit is that I don't like veggie and milk. I'm considering some supplements but there are many kinds of them, I'm afraid that taking to many vitamins will harm my body.
for sure I will take:
Omega 3
Calcium, people said that it should come with Vit-D

the others I'm considering are:
multivitamins
balanced B
Vitamin A (working on computer a lot!)
potassium (my psy class taught me that we need K+ & Na+ for neurons 'firing' process, I don't like banana by the way)
melatonin 3mg (I'm high energy at night, trying to change my body clock, can naturally stay up until 6am if I don't want to sleep)
magnesium
zinc
Vit-C
Vit-E
folic acid with DHA
CoQ10

By the way, I'm currently moving from south to north, literally, from year round warm weather to a brutal winter place. Unfortunately, I have to take classes from a CC and my Uni which add up to 26 credits. Please give me advice on what supplements I should take that benefit me, keep myself physical and mentally healthy, especially for the cold days coming.
Thank you very much.
