Will taking Vitamin C and Zinc supplements help acne?

My acne isn't servere. I have quite a few pimples around my chin area and on my forehead. They are usually very red and inflamed. I have been taking Vitamin C for a couple of weeks now and I have noticed an improvement in my skin. I heard Zinc can be beneficial also and result in healthier, acne free skin.

Will taking both these supplements help? What are the advantages and disadvantages?

Thanks.

Get the word out on this video. - Wednesday June 1 2011 4:01 pm en.wikipedia.org The apple is the pomaceous fruit of the apple tree, species Malus domestica in the rose family (Rosaceae). It is one of the most widely cultivated tree fruits, and the most widely known of the many members of genus Malus that are used by humans. The tree originated in Western Asia, where its wild ancestor, the Alma, is still found today. There are more than 7500 known cultivars of apples, resulting in a range of desired characteristics. Cultivars vary in their yield and the ultimate size of the tree, even when grown on the same rootstock. At least 55 million tonnes of apples were grown worldwide in 2005, with a value of about billion. China produced about 35% of this total. The United States is the second-leading producer, with more than 7. 5% of world production. Iran is third, followed by Turkey, Russia, Italy and India. The apple forms a tree that is small and deciduous, reaching 3 to 12 metres (9. 8 to 39 ft) tall, with a broad, often densely twiggy crown. The leaves are alternately arranged simple ovals 5 to 12 cm long and 3--6 centimetres (1. 2--2. 4 in) broad on a 2 to 5 centimetres (0. 79 to 2. 0 in) petiole with an acute tip, serrated margin and a slightly downy underside. Blossoms are produced in spring simultaneously with the budding of the leaves. The flowers ...

A Popular Topic… Zits?

Oiy.

I tend to get the slightly painful, red, half under-the-skin kind of zit - not blackheads or whiteheads. Drying them out doesn't really seem to work. I've tried exfoliation, and while it's made my skin feel smoother than ever, the pimples are still there. Also, they tend to leave temporary red marks that last anywhere from two to six months. Because I have been breaking out more than usual, these red marks have been accumulating.

Has anyone found a good way to combat these kinds of pimples? My skin is very fair, so it's rather noticeable. Last night I went out and bought Clearasil Ultra Acne Clearing Scrub, which has made my skin feel really soft. I'm also switching from liquid to mineral concealer, in case the liquid clogged my pores. I'm taking vitamins A and E, as they are good for your skin.

I just started all this recently, so could it be that I need to get the pimples that were beginning to form before I started out of my system before my skin finally clears?

Thanks!

face cleanser for sensitive skin. please tell me of your must haves when it comes to skin care?

I have pretty good skin. I hardly get pimples or anything like that but I have noticed that when I use certain face cleansers like clean and clear exfoliating wash and morning cleansers it makes my face start to peal. I am currently using my daughters Aveeno baby wash for sensitive skin (she has slight eczema and its the only thing that seems to work) So anyway.... I am thinking that the Aveeno baby wash is probably not giving me the "cleanse" i should be getting. I also use my daughters Aveeno baby lotion or the Vaseline lotions and it seems like that has been something that has tamed my dry skin. I do wear a dept store moisturizer at night and during the day. I tried using Oil of Olay moisturizing cream but it made my face feel tight and dry.
I also tried using the oil of Olay toner but it only made my face itchy and tight. I want to make sure I am taking good care of my skin. I am 23 and I am starting to see fine lines under my eyes, on my forehead, and some crows feet. I also have horrible dark circles under my eyes that seem to work with any concealer. I do drink plenty of water (2-3 liters a day) and I wear SPF, sunglasses, and hat when I go out. I don't really wear much makeup either. Just some tinted moisturizer, bronzer, blush and mascara and eyeliner when I feel like I need the pzas. '

If you could give me some face wash, and eye cream suggestions I would really appreciate it. I know that retinol (which is vitamin a) is great for wrinkles but I am currently 4 months pregnant and well I'd rather stay away from retinol right now.

How do you reduce/fade scars on your face? help!?

I have some scars on my face from pimples and they're really annoying me. Not alot, but they're mostly a along my hair line and they're lighter than my normal skin and whitish. I also have a couple scars on my knees and then a bigish one on my arm that's from a nail :(
So I was just wondering from any dermatologists, or really anyone out there who knows, what would work to fade my scars?
I've heard about vitamin E oil and I weas wondering if that really works?
And I've heard of the product Bio Oil Specialist Skincare for Scar Treatment with PurCellin Oil, and I'm thinking of buying it and if you've tried this product i would like to know your experience with it.

So yeah, really i just need help with reducing the scars, so any ideas or answers are appreciated! Thank you :)

Dry & flakey skin– which products do I use?

Hello!

So lately I have been dealing with my face drying out and getting really flakey when I wake up in the morning, and throughout the day.

I use Neutrogena Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask every other day, and also use the Neutrogena Blackhead Eliminating Daily Scrub every night before bed.
These products are wonderful, but I always end up waking up with very dry & flakey skin-- like a snowstorm has hit my face! :\

So today, I bought two new products-- both by Clean&Clear: Dual Action Moisturizer, and the Morning Burst Facial Cleanser.

(I knew that I needed a moisturizer to help keep my skin fresh and free of dryness.)

SO! The dual action moisturizer has salicylic acid in it, and it supposed to help moisturize the skin & prevent pimples.
The Morning Burst Facial Cleanser has "bursting beads" in it that burst with energy and vitamins (Vitamin C & Ginseng) that help nourish the skin and remove oils and dirts that build up over night.

What order should I use these products in to help prevent my dry & flakey skin?

Thanks SO much! :)

-Cody
