Question about my hair? Need advice ?

I will buy a bottle of S&C. It will work great, leaving my hair soft and silky but 2 weeks later it stops working and I have to try something new. I already tried alternating between 2 brands but each time I go back to one it works less and less. Why does this happen and what can I do about it?

I have tried so many like:
Bedhead(didn't work at all)
Biosik ( I like only the shampoo)
Paul Mitchell 1 (drys out my hair)
Nexus (didn't work at all)
Panteen deep C( not at all)
Chi deep C (just okay)

I did like herbal essences, John Freda and sunsilk but they all stopped working like I said, I just spent on S factor and its just okay. Not all the hype people talk about. Is my hair just picky? Its very healthy!! I wash every other day. Take hair vitamins, hot oil treatment once a week. I rarely use heat (1or 2 times a week) never iron!!! and I trim every 6-8 weeks
Thank You

Using extra virgin olive oil in your hair for a treatment? what is the best method?

I heard extra virgin olive oil can be used as a really good hot oil treatment to deep condition hair and help repair damage but there are so many methods out there, I don't know which one is best to use!

My hair has been a bit abused this past month or so since I started to blow dry it again (I stopped using any heat on it for a long time to try to keep it healthy) and I used curlers etc on it last week and hair spray a couple of times and I think all this has dried my hair out and damaged it.

I am letting it dry naturally again and have stopped using any heat on it and have started taking vitamins etc for my hair again. But I really want to do a hot oil treatment on my hair tonight to deep condition it.

So I really need a hot oil treatment method with olive oil that is easy and I can do at home, please?

Also has anyone used l'oreal elvive damage repair hair mask? Cause it was on offer in a shop today so I bought some and I plan to start using it once or twice a week.

Do hair masks also help repair damage and soften hair?

Sorry I know this question is a bit long, it wasn't meant to be.

Thanks in advance!

Frizz, non-luster, and annoyance. Help?

As you have read in the question, my hair seems to be in terrible shape. I do not understand why because the only "trauma" I occasionally put my hair through is dyeing, which I do about once every three months. Other than that, I only finger comb my hair, I wash it in room temperature water, and use somewhat pricey shampoos (Paul Mitchell Smoothing, this organic minty tea tree stuff, John Freida Brilliant Brunette, and occasionally Garnier Fructis Shine Burst -I switch between these about every 2 or 3 showers.) I also use the Paul Mitchell smoothing serum. I NEVER straighten, blow-dry, or curl my hair. I bought a hot oil treatment which was also to no avail. I get my hair cut about every 3 months, and I use my towel very minimally when drying so as not to further damage my hair.Yesterday I bought a vitamin supplement called Biotin at 1000mcg (I only know that this means 'high potency' because it says so on the bottle). After all the crap I've tried, I doubt it'll work though.
(ctd.) I know that my mom's hair is ridiculously frizzy (we have slightly wavy-type hair), but she's also been dying it monthly or worse since her teenage years. I actually am only trying to get back to my natural color, which is tough because I was a red head throughout highschool (naturally cool dark brown), and the brassiness keeps coming through. But that's another story. I am asking for further, somewhat proffessional advice on how to help my hair. Maybe a certain food that I'm not eating enough of? No product endorsements, please, unless you are absolutely convicted of its success. Things like Dove shampoo work for a lot of people. Just not me, for some odd reason...
ONE person has the same problem as me? NO hairstylists, cosmetologists, beauticians, what-have-you EXIST in Yahoo!Answers? Uggghhh, please...I'm dying for more advice.

fix overprocessed hair?

i'm a black male and i have been growing my hair out for the past 6 years. i recently decided to get a perm and after about 5 months my hair started getting damaged and its been that way since then. i can still cornrow it and put it in a ponytail perfectly fine, its just that its kinda short in some places. it really aint a big deal considering my hair is still really long, i just want to fix it without going to professionals. its regular black hair, thick, kinda brown due to perm, and down to my shoulders. i just don't want it to get any worse. i've discounted my perm about may and been just washing it with regular dry and damaged hair shampoo. everyone else in my house are girls and always use up all of the conditioner so i rarely use that. i do use my sister oil treatment you have to heat up and leave in your hair for a couple of minutes. i'm thinking about buying hair vitamins and i think i'm gonna buy my own shampoo and conditioner to go with it. what is the best things to buy?
