What do you guys think of this (Body Shop Skincare) ?

So, there is a new(ish) version of a skin care product at The Body Shop. "The Body Shop Vitamin C Microdermabrasion. I totally fell in love with this product. I have the thick, coarse skin of a man and I need something very abrasive to scour the dead skin off. I am a huge fan of St. Ives and combining with Vitamin C Microdermabrasion. Recently, The Body Shop have re-formulated this amazing skin care product. I squeezed some of the new product on my hand and I was absolutely devastated. It now feels creamy and fine. Its feels weak, puny and pathetic. It does not feel like the type of product that would remove any dead skin from my face. Me and my friends all agree that the new one feels like a slightly sandy moisturizer. I also dislike the smell as it smells highly perfumed and I am devastated as no store I know sells a product abrasive enough to exfoliate my skin.

I'm curious. What do you guys think of the knew formulation?

Beauty Benefits of Organic Virgin Coconut Oil

Check my blog: www.thesilverlining80.blogspot.com Organic Virgin Coconut Oil has many amazing health benefits. It is a fantastic addition to your diet and can also be used in your beauty routine. I like to use this as a moisturizer, hair treatment, and as an eye makeup remover. You can get coconut oil at natural health food/vitamin stores. You can also buy it online. It is available at Amazon.com and Drugstore.com and probably many other places. There are many websites that review the benefits of incorporating coconut oil into your health/beauty routines. What is a good natural home remedy to improve acne scars?

I have had breakouts since I was about 12 and every once in a while still do. What makes it worse is I have the habit (sometimes even unconsciously) of touching/picking at my face a lot and as a result my skin, if you look closely, has a lot of tiny craters and scars from the acne. My pores also seem to be getting bigger the older I get (I'm 25).

My skin seems to fluctuate between being way too oily and way too dry. When I put on foundation it just seems to appear dry and flaky, even if I've used moisturizer first. Other times it feels like someone just poured oil on my forehead. I can't figure out how to get an even balance, but I just want to have the smoother skin I used to have even just a couple years ago.

I would love to get microdermabrasion but I can't afford it right now. I would love to hear suggestions on how to smooth out my face with cheap store-bought items or simple home remedies. I've heard lemon juice helps, as well as Vitamin E oil. Any others?

I'm not necessarily looking for acne treatment suggestions, as that's not my primary concern right now. I want to shrink the pores and craters on my face so it looks smoother. Even a little more expensive suggestions (but cheaper than microdermabrasion) would be appreciated!

looking for foundation help!?

hey, im looking for a good foundation, right now im using True blend whipped foundation by cover girl, which is fine. it doesn't really cover up some redness in my cheeks, or around my nose and blemishes. i don't really have problem skin. just redness on my cheeks and around my nostrils. rare blemishes.

i want a good foundation to cover these. not heavy coverage. a light to medium coverage. depending on the product and its effect

if it helps, my routine is just foundation, eye liner and moisturizer (body shop's vitamin E's cream)

note: i dont have mac stores around me if u suggest this,.

im looking for a flawless foundation look, doesnt look like im wearing any but i am, just natural.

ps. i think my skin is normal/dry combo.

Moisturizer plus acne?

I have terrible acne, and even worse acne scarring. The kind that would probably qualify as a "before" photo in a ProActive commercial.

I've never used a moisturizer until two months ago, because I always thought it would clog my pores more.
My stepmother suggested that I probably try some, because of the 100 degree heat here.

So I did. I got Clean & Clear moisturizer and after about a week of using it (followed the directions exactly) I noticed it started making me break out even more.

Do I even need a moisturizer? I'm not sure if this stuff works by making you break out at first, and then it slowly starts working and the breakouts become less like a lot of products do.
Is there one under that you've tried that doesn't cause breakouts or clog pores (I'm on a really tight budget these days)?

As far as my acne goes, I've tried tons of products: literally every single thing on the grocery store's shelves, ProActive, Murad, prescribed creams from my doctor (four total), and other little "home remedy" tips and tricks from other people's suggestions.

Right now I'm following a remedy from Acne.org, using baking soda 2-3 times a week and rubbing Vitamin E on my face every night and every morning.
I'm washing my face with Neutrogena and I really like how soft it makes my face feel.

Is there anything else you could recommend for acne that doesn't cost a lot (under )?

Thanks!
I visited a dermatologist for three years, once every month or every other month, but I had to stop because it started to get a little pricey.

I've tried Accutane, that dried out my skin WAY too much, to where it was very painful and my skin would crack in a few areas.

I've decided that it might be best to tackle this on my own without a doctor or dermatologist, since they all seem to say the same things, and I know all of it already.

Dry & flakey skin– which products do I use?

Hello!

So lately I have been dealing with my face drying out and getting really flakey when I wake up in the morning, and throughout the day.

I use Neutrogena Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask every other day, and also use the Neutrogena Blackhead Eliminating Daily Scrub every night before bed.
These products are wonderful, but I always end up waking up with very dry & flakey skin-- like a snowstorm has hit my face! :\

So today, I bought two new products-- both by Clean&Clear: Dual Action Moisturizer, and the Morning Burst Facial Cleanser.

(I knew that I needed a moisturizer to help keep my skin fresh and free of dryness.)

SO! The dual action moisturizer has salicylic acid in it, and it supposed to help moisturize the skin & prevent pimples.
The Morning Burst Facial Cleanser has "bursting beads" in it that burst with energy and vitamins (Vitamin C & Ginseng) that help nourish the skin and remove oils and dirts that build up over night.

What order should I use these products in to help prevent my dry & flakey skin?

Thanks SO much! :)
