What are the Best Foods to aid in speeding up the metabolism for weight loss…?

I well know that starving oneself is NOT the way to go as all that you do is lose water weight which is dangerous and leaves us dehydrated. Certain foods in their Natural form are known to absolutely speed up or even skyrocket the metabolism, this of course along with activity is what I am getting at. I have put on weight from Pharmaceuticals....this seems to be the most difficult of all the kinds of weight gain to make a dent in...I am open to the addition of vitamins and minerals as well...mid you I have a condition which disallows me to walk at times...I am NOT feeling sorry for myself...I am open minded and ready to begin now!!! ~ I thank yo u in advance!

P.S. I am NOT using the motorized wheelchair...i refuse to as it keeps me sedentary and THAT is not good for me anyway...I am also NOT using the walker...and I live through the pain. it is extreme but I am undaunted....I do NOT consider myself a Victim. I found that certain medicines really do terrible things to us where weight is concerned and being a person who use to walk two to ten miles per day, this has been a really hard lifestyle change for me....I realize that this will take time, I just need to know. Cayenne pepper is one spice that has these properties....I appreciate your input. Thanks in Advance!

fasting tips? i’ll pick a best answer :]?

'm planning on starting a fast in the morning to give myself a kickstart on my new lifestyle change.
What would be a good way to go about fasting? Juice fast, or water fast? Should I take supplements/vitamins, and if so, what kind?

It's not really to lose weight. (my bmi is 18) I'm just not eating very healthily (tons of carbs and fats). After the fast, I'm going to incorporate healthy foods into my diet.
Advice is very appreciated.

when is best time to take vitamins?

Hi, I use vitamins as a supplement to a diet "lifestyle change" routine.
I heard it's great for absorption to take some vitamins with a meal or at least a glass of water.

Due to being busy lately, I've been taking all my pills at night after my last meal, snack (before sleeping). Would this waste all those nutrition in my body? Just wondering if they will be flushed out of my system when I go to sleep or if my body will keep them for use for the next day.

I'm also not using time-released type of vitamins.
Thanks.

My weight loss journey or something like that..

My first question....ever....

Alright then, I had terrible eating habits. I used to eat an entire pizza in less than 3 seconds or crap loads of crap (junk food) and pretty much sit on my ass and play video games all day, smoke..stuff...you get the point.

Okay so to the real thing, I'm 5 7 and weigh 157 lbs. I've been exercising for the past 2 weeks regularly everyday. I run about 2 miles a day, do about 40 reps with 25 lbs dumb bells, and about 20 minutes of hardcore boxing action with me and my lovely heavy bag. I wanna' know if this is enough to help me lose about...15 lbs in a moderate time (say 2-3 months). I don't care if it's less than 15 lbs, I just wanna' see some changes. I don't really eat junk food anymore, have started eating fruits, taking vitamin tablets and such. This is actually a pretty big lifestyle change for me, so any supportive-ish answer or stuff will be pretty helpful, or even tips.

Weight Loss Pill – Recommendations?

I am about 100 pounds overweight, and have finally made the decision to diet and stick with it. A total lifestyle change. I am preparing healthy meals, and exercising daily, but was wondering if there was a pill or vitamin that would assist in my weight loss. I know there is no such thing as a "miracle" pill, but I've heard of pills like Apple-Cider vinegar assisting.
Any recommendations?

And if this information helps:
I am currently taking Tri-Cyclen as birth control, and I usually take a Women's One-a-Day for everyday vitamins.
