It is one of the most widely cultivated tree fruits, and the most widely known of the many members of genus Malus that are used by humans. The tree originated in Western Asia, where its wild ancestor, the Alma, is still found today. There are more than 7500 known cultivars of apples, resulting in a range of desired characteristics. Cultivars vary in their yield and the ultimate size of the tree, even when grown on the same rootstock. At least 55 million tonnes of apples were grown worldwide in 2005, with a value of about billion. China produced about 35% of this total. The United States is the second-leading producer, with more than 7. 5% of world production. Iran is third, followed by Turkey, Russia, Italy and India. The apple forms a tree that is small and deciduous, reaching 3 to 12 metres (9. 8 to 39 ft) tall, with a broad, often densely twiggy crown. The leaves are alternately arranged simple ovals 5 to 12 cm long and 3--6 centimetres (1. 2--2. 4 in) broad on a 2 to 5 centimetres (0. 79 to 2. 0 in) petiole with an acute tip, serrated margin and a slightly downy underside. Blossoms are produced in spring simultaneously with the budding of the leaves. The flowers ...
Vegetarians/Vegans: What Multi-Vitamin/Multi-Mineral Supplement Do You Take?
I need to find the best vitamin/mineral combo to take. I've been to Whole Foods and other natural food stores but everyone seems to give me a different opinion so I'm still unsure. I even went to a dietician and she recommended "Priority One" Brand. I read the nutritional facts and the daily values exceed 100% (for example: the daily value of a vitamin might be 337%), so I'm unsure if I should consume them because I fear I might take too much and overdose now or have long term side effects.
Also, although I eat a lot of veggies (Kale, Spinach, Lettuce, Collards, Cabbage, etc.), I still am anemic. What would you suggest?
What should I take that has a lot of Omega-3? If I want to gain weight, in additon to eating healthy, what products will make me add more pounds?
I use Stevia instead of sugar. Is it safe to use?
Basically, I need some items for daily maintainence and to ensure I am getting the proper nutrients/vitamins/minerals.
By the way, I'm 23.

Prenatal vitamin question?
So I took a prego test and it was negative but a lot of people told me I took it too early and I still haven't had my period since July 29th (last day of my last period). I took a nutrition class and we talked about how important it is to have folate in your diet especially when you are pregnant. So I am sure that I am pregnant because I have never missed a period. I went and got some prenatal vitamins to take now until I find out and have a few questions about them. I use to take prenatal vitamins as a multivitamin for many years, and the store didn't have the ones I am use to taking. I bought One a Day Womens Prenatal vitamins. It comes with two different pills. One has all the vitamins in it (pink pill) and the other one has some polysaturated fat, omega 3 fatty acids and it says under omega 3 EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) this one is a liquid gel. I feel stupid asking this but should I be taking both of them? I know when you get a script for prenatal vitamins it's just a big pink tablet. I am just trying to take all the extra precautions and don't want to screw up.
Also I was craving a salad with sour cream (totally wierd) and I forgot to take the pill and took it about 15 minutes later or so (under 30 minutes) and I started to feel really sick. Is this normal? I never remember getting sick feeling when I took the other prenatal vitamins. I have been feeling really pukey lately anyways and my smells have been crazy. I had to have my boyfriend cut up the lettuce. Is there anything that is better to eat when you take the prenatal? I don't drink cows milk and I do not eat much meat.
The prenatal vitamins didn't come with instructions. On each bottle it just says take one and that's it. Am I suppose to take them at the same time every day?
