I use lemon juice in evening, vitamin e oil over night to treat some acne scars – good or counterproductive?
Looking for informed answers if possible.I am using them to treat a few acne scars but just need to know if using them both is sensible every evening and night?.I do rinse lemon juice off before applying vitamin e oil and I am seeing improvement but I dont want to do more harm than good.
Thanks.
Has anyone with moderate-severe acne had success with the Neutrogena Wave?
I am 26 years old and suffer from hyperandrogenism and PCOS which has resulted in severe hormonal acne. I take prescription meds for it but my skin is still a disaster. Tried just about everything on the shelf in stores, and also tried clay masks, lemon juice, tea tree oil, dr. gordshells skin cream, asprin masks, apple cider vinegar, emu oil, egg whites and sulphur to name a few. I take fish oils and lots of vitamins A, B6, C, D, MSM, and probiotics daily. I eat well, mostly low glycemic and avoid most dairy, white flour, and all cane sugar. My acne is so severe that I barely even leave my house anymore. I realize I'm am probably wasting my time even thinking about trying this, but have any of you with moderate-severe acne had good results with the wave?
Do friut/vegetable juices lose nutrients if refrigerated?
I read in an answer on here that lemon juice helps scars. I know you should drink fresh-squeezed juices as soon as possible to insure your getting all the nutrients and vitamins. But if applying the juice to skin, does the asap part apply to skin application as well? The juice in lemons has acid, which lightens the scars, and lemons can be refrigerated for about 2 weeks and frozen for up to 6 weeks. But does refrigeration/freezing affect the acids and stuff? Or does storing it for later make the whole thing pointless since your losing all the acids/nutrients that cause the lightening in the first place? I am so confused by all of this!!! Please help!!!
What is a good natural home remedy to improve acne scars?
I have had breakouts since I was about 12 and every once in a while still do. What makes it worse is I have the habit (sometimes even unconsciously) of touching/picking at my face a lot and as a result my skin, if you look closely, has a lot of tiny craters and scars from the acne. My pores also seem to be getting bigger the older I get (I'm 25).
My skin seems to fluctuate between being way too oily and way too dry. When I put on foundation it just seems to appear dry and flaky, even if I've used moisturizer first. Other times it feels like someone just poured oil on my forehead. I can't figure out how to get an even balance, but I just want to have the smoother skin I used to have even just a couple years ago.
I would love to get microdermabrasion but I can't afford it right now. I would love to hear suggestions on how to smooth out my face with cheap store-bought items or simple home remedies. I've heard lemon juice helps, as well as Vitamin E oil. Any others?
I'm not necessarily looking for acne treatment suggestions, as that's not my primary concern right now. I want to shrink the pores and craters on my face so it looks smoother. Even a little more expensive suggestions (but cheaper than microdermabrasion) would be appreciated!
I WANT GOOD SKIN! (mild surface scarring, uneven tone) HELP!?
Okay, so I don't really deal with that many blemishes, one or two usually on my face at a time. However, my uneven skin tone, and couple of purple scars leftover from zits make it look so much worse! It's only on my cheeks that this happens. I use clinique 3 step skincare system and love it! I need something to get rid of my uneven skin tone on the cheeks and the couple scars. I just want beautiful skin that will look good without makeup! What has worked for you and your uneven skin and scars???
I've tried:
vitamin e
lemon juice
scrubs
and many home remedies!
Would these work:
philosophy peel
clarisonic
What worked best for you!?
thanks in advance!
ohh, and please don't say go see a derm!
Sorry!
Scars and Tanning?
I know that tanning is bad and I do not intentionally tan. I would never go to a tanning bed. Yes, I am aware of the dangers of skin cancer. Yes, I have tried Mederma and it does not work for me.
Now, onto the question! I have a lot of scars from razor bumps on my legs and I was wondering, if I tanned a little bit, would my scars tan as well and become darker along with my skin or would my unscarred skin tan and become closer to the shade of the scars, which would not tan?
Is there anything you would recommend for scar fading? I am not willing to try lemon juice because it's too tedious and it seems to take too long. I have heard of using vitamin E and I recently bought a bottle of it. If I applied it twice a day, how long would it take for the scars to visibly fade into my natural skin color? I am aware that scars do not go away so please do not tell me that. How long will it take for cocoa butter to visibly fade scars as well?
Thanks!
which of these homemade faces masks do you think will work?
Lemon Mask (for dry skin)
Mix 2 egg yolks, 1 tsp. olive oil, and 1 tsp. lemon juice. Wash your face, spread on the mixture, leave on for 10 minutes, and then wash it off.
Honey for Best Facial
The best facial mask that i have found is honey. Use warm cloth to open pores, smear on honey, leave on 15 to 30 minutes, rinse off with warm water, and then use cold water to close pores. Use for 3 days in a row and then once a week. Sometimes I mix a little gound oatmeal with the honey, which makes a great mask.
Egg Yolk
The best homemade facial mask that I have used is a raw egg yolk. just apply the raw yolk to your face and neck for 30 minutes and rinse with cool water. Egg yolks are high in vitamin A. The mask is very effective in healing blemishes.
Egg Yolk and Honey
Just mix one egg yolk with a little honey and spread it on your face and neck. When it dries, rinse it off.
weak nails… HELP!!?
my nails grow fine.. but when they grow they get flakey ant they split &they r not that strong.. what r the best treatments other than vitamins??
i use lemon juice with olive oil to rub them.. but i need something better... thnx :)
do think that this will work?
i need more info than this
Take your vitamins.
Continue to have your hair trimmed, just let your hairdresser know that you're trying to grow your hair out. Trimming it every 4-6 weeks will help keep away split ends, keeping your hair looking nice.
Don't wash your hair so often. Wash your hair every 2-4 days. Washing your hair more than that can dry it out.
Use water to help the circulation. When you're in the shower, part your hair so that theres a part in the middle of your head. Get in the shower and stand directly under the water. so the water is hitting your scalp. Doing this will increase the blood circulation in your scalp. When this happens your hair can grow.
Get active! Don't just think sitting there is going to make your hair grow. You're not Rapunzel! Turn up the music and dance! Even if you can't dance. If you don't want anyone to see you then go in your room and close and lock your door. And dance! Go outside walk your dog for 30-60 minutes if you have a dog. Get out your jump rope and start jumping. Or if you don't have a jump rope pretend you do. Theres all kinds of thing to do to get active.
Keep calm. A calm mind helps keep your body balanced and able to better make use of the nutritious food you are eating and the good sleep you are getting.
Buy a wig while you wait. Unless you don't have enough hair to pull back in a ponytail then buy a wig. Now you have that long hair you've wanted. Now you can be happy. While your having fun with your hair, your real hair will grow.
Don't tug on your hair. When combing your hair don't yank a comb through your hair. If there's a knot in your hair use your hand and gently pull the not apart.
and you can lighten your hair naturally by Cut the lemon into slices, or pour about a 1/2 cup to 1 cup of lemon juice into the cup.
Rub the lemon/lemon juice onto your hair.
If you still feel there is no effect, try rub it into your hair, so more area is covered.
Head out into the sun.
Stay in the sun for about two hours. It helps to play a game (such as a sport) or lay out to tan in this time.
Rinse out the juice, and completely follow this routine for about a week. You should notice a difference.
Or you can use Chamomile tea instead of lemon juice. Then follow the same steps as with the juice.
oops sorry...do u think that lemon juice will make my hair lighter and salt will make it grow faster
when you say peroxide do u mean hydrogen peroxide like the stuff your supposed to put on cuts?
Is a honey hair mask beneficial?
I was going to try a honey hair mask but saw that I didn't have any of the ingredients the net says to mix with it. Would honey by itself be beneficial?
I'm trying to decide if it's worth going to the store (without a shower) to get yogurt, lemon juice and vitamin E capsules.
