Are there any weight loss pills that are safe to take?
Now I'm NOT talking about Hydroxy or something like that. I'm looking for one that prevents you from eating so much. Like you would take it about 20 min before you eat so it fills you up a little so you don't eat too much. Believe me I know how to lose weight. I just love to eat food. I eat lots of vegetables and fruits. I eat lean meats and take vitamins everyday. I don't drink soda, coffee, or fatty milk. I DO drink water, skim milk, soy milk, tea, and 100% real juice. But my problem is that I eat too much of it. I know that you lose more weight if you eat more vegetables and fruit, but I sometimes sneak a cookie or 2 or a piece of pie. So I just want to know if there are any that are safe. I take a Thyroid medication that my doctors ordered me to, so i cant stop taking that. Thanks all of you, I can only choose one answer. And I don't want to hear that there is not one that will do that, cuz i know that there is one. Thanks
I jog for an hour everyday. I know you have to exercise to lose weight.
Question about my hair?
way back in november i was stressed out for being in college and paying bills, my hair had taken a turn for the worst the three months after with tons of shedding. then weeks passed and the shedding reduced and my hair has been growing in perfectly up to this date, but its still thinner then 'i'm used to and it aches in areas, I'm not sure if thats because its growing in and starting to grow again... I had very thick coarse curly hair but now its loose wavy and not as thick and coarse, I've been taking prenatal vitamins and biotin and folic acid and b-12 and vitamin E for a real long time since the incident occurred, but I am still wondering will time improve my hair i've been eatting alot of protein lean meats and vegetables and adding fruit into my diet as well, any advice will be helpful thank you !!!!
I'm 15, seriously limiting dairy (for a little while) for weight loss/possibly other reasons. What else…?
I've been reading for quite some time about the downsides of dairy, probably one of my favorite food groups, but haven't really cut my intake much. After four days of no milk (I had a bad cold and didn't want to add mucous.) I noticed that my skin was clearer, my cold symptoms weren't as severe, etc. So, I'm taking the plunge. Having a dairy allergic brother, I know where to find alternatives, however...
-Soy milk makes me puke (not soy in general, just the milk, for whatever reason.) Plus, given what it can potentially do to your hormones, I'm only going soy when I can't find "cheese"/"yogurt" (Not that my brother can eat that, with the stupid "dairy protein" they keep in a lot of the products. Poor guy.)
-I don't really like rice milk.
-So... I'm thinking of switching to almond, just for cereal/cooking (about the only times I use straight milk). The only problem is, while that allegedly tastes good and has very little calories/fat/icky stuff, it also has very few nutrients, which makes me wonder if I should take any kinds of supplements in addition to my fairly-balanced diet (as in, I think it's good, but some health nuts may argue. Mostly produce, whole grains, lean meats, and... now I need to find something to fill the dairy void.)? Calcium? Vitamin D? Anything else, if at all?
And... is it even worth it to cut dairy, or is the Baskin-Robbins heir (the first guy to go dramatic no-milk-ever dieting. Ironic, no?) just mad at his daddy? (Grandpa?)
If I follow this, Will I lose my belly and leg fat by the end of the summer?
Part 1: Running: it's cheap, accessible, and you get quick results. No membership to the gym required, and all you need are a pair of running shoes, shorts, and a shirt. If you run around your neighborhood for 45 minutes to an hour for 5 or 6 days a week, you'll lose abdominal fat, your thighs will shrink and become muscular, you'll look leaner, you'll sleep better, and you'll be able to do other fun physical activities like hiking more easily.
Part 2: Strength training. Again, easy, accessible, cheap. No membership to the gym required. You can lift weights right in your own home. For example, take a dictionary to start, balance it on your hands while laying down, and lift up and down. Ta-da, strength training for the arms. Or, buy a set of weights from a sports store; they're relatively inexpensive.
Part 3: Cut back on the junk food and replace it with fruits, vegetables, low-fat dairy products, lean meats, whole grains, etc. Your diet doesn't have to be so strict that you end up binging on the bad stuff. Just make substitutions. Instead of ice cream, eat frozen yogurt. For your chips substitute, eat fat-free Pringles. Make sure you get enough of the good calories, and don't skip any of the food groups! (that means no low-carb diets) Any mineral or vitamin deficiency in your diet will compromise your energy stores and your overall health. Get involved in your cooking, so you know exactly what's going into your mouth. Look up healthy recipes on the internet. You'll find that a lot of these healthier foods taste much better than you thought they would. (Plus, you're spending the same amount of money on food; you're just buying different stuff.)
Part 4: Reward yourself every now and then. It's fine to live a little. Just make sure you're only rewarding yourself once or twice a week.
Part 5: Stay active even on your recovery days. Take a hike with friends in the mountains. Go for a leisurely swim. Bike with a significant other. Pick up a sport hobby, like tennis.
Part 6: Keep at it and have patience. You didn't gain the weight overnight, so you're not going to lose it overnight. Don't expect to lose more than 2 pounds per week. Doctors and dietitians recommend this amount; anything else is considered to be unhealthy. The combination of eating right and exercising regularly WORKS. You'll become leaner and you'll stay that way if you continue to eat right and exercise daily.
I'm trying to lose 15/20 pounds.
Fasting for weight loss?
So I am planning to fast for a week and lemon juice with honey and water (no solid foods). However, I've heard many times that as soon as one gets off a fast, they will regain the weight back and more. I don't completely agree with this though. Yes, you will regain the weight if you go back to your regular eating habits, but what if you restrict your calorie intake, modify your diet and incorporate a lot of vitamin dense, low calorie foods such as lean meats and vegetables? Is the weight loss sustainable in that case? Any thoughts on this? Also, if anyone has done a fast, please tell me how it went.

What extra vitamins do I need while I'm on the low carb diet?
I'm in the first 2 weeks so I can't have any fruit or milk.
Other than Vitamin C and Calcium, what other vitamins do I need to supplement?
I already take a one a day multi-vitamin.
Thanks in advance!
haha
im 24 btw and im just wanting to lose extra baby weight i gained from pregnancy
you did the diet very wrong then if you have health problems from it..
the first 2 weeks of the diet is the only time that you are restricted from fruits and things like that..you still have to eat veggies and LEAN meats to get some vitamins from your foods
then after the first 2 weeks, you bring milk back in and fruits..
whatever you did, you did it very wrong..you should have gone to the dr..bc thats where this diet came from
