Is it possible for premature babies to have a high blood pressure?

I've heard that premature babies can potentially have high blood pressure (hypertension).

Could this condition follow them through their entire lives?

If yes, how is hypertension treated?

Thanks in advance.

My husband has high blood pressure, how can he lower it naturally?

We went to give blood today and my hubby couldn't because his blood pressure was 144/102.

His grandfather died at 48 years old due to hypertension so this is a realy concerning.

We don't have health insurance because he works as a contractor so we can't afford any medication. What can he do to lower it naturally?

Thank you!

I was recently put on Metoprolol for blood pressure, and I'm stuffed up and need a decongestant. Suggestions?

I've heard that certain cold/decongestant medicines can raise your blood pressure and if you are on certain medications that could be bad. Does anyone know a good decongestant to take that I can buy at the pharmacy that is OK to take with Metoprolol (hypertension/blood pressure medicine)? Thanks!

What are your natural cures that actually work for pain and high blood pressure?

The ones you find to be tried and true:

Such as potassium in bananas for high blood pressure for example or steamed broccoli for the calcium. One resource I read claimed that it may not be just high sodium intake but also a mineral deficiency such as potassium and calcium causing or something that can help lower it.
Here's another resource. http://www.home-remedies-for-you.com/remedy/High-Blood-Pressure.html

Any other successful natural pain and hypertension reducers that you know of?

Is there a difference between blood pressure pills for high blood pressure and hypertension?

I ask this because I have a friend with hypertension who's interested in taking prescription pills to treat his high blood pressure. Only problem is he's been diagnose with high blood pressure and he knows that its hypertension because when ever he goes to the doctor his blood pressure testing is high, and when ever he goes to Walgreen's or local supermarket to test his blood pressure it is normal. Can anyone tell him the names of blood pressure pills strictly for hypertension if they exist.

What foods or herbs or drugs quickly lower blood pressure?

I have hypertension and I'm on medication which along with watching certain dietary items controls it nicely. I know the things that cause high blood pressure and try to stay away from them, however sometimes I know it is up and was wondering if there is anything you can do to knock it back down. If there are so many things that instantly raise it, it seems like there should also be things that would instantly lower it.
