Can you buy quality vitamins at walmart?
I understand that most multivitamins, for example centrum, are not fully utilized by the body. Now, when it comes to just flax seed oil, vitamin b, zinc, etc, how well made are the vitamins you can buy at any CVS or walmart? Are these cheaper vitamins just a waste of money?
what are good vitamins to take for beauty and health?
I know that vitamin A helps your eyesight,
I know vitamin D is good to take if you don't get a lot of sun
I know flax seed oil makes your hair shiny...
can you suggest some other vitamins and foods i should eat in order to help improve my health and my appearance?
thank you!

Supplement mixture, any dangers, warnings, or suggestions for better methods?
First off, I'll start by saying that I have Vitiligo, so Vitamin B12, Vitamin C, and Folic Acid are a mixture I've been told can help the condition, my body has trouble absorbing them. Never the less, I started taking these supplements which I'll list with their dosages. My question is in several parts because I don't know much about supplements. First, the mixture I will describe below, is it in any way dangerous? Any warning(s) you might have for me? Secondly, I know B12 is as difficult vitamin to absorb, especially for someone who likely has a hard time absorbing it to begin with. Will taking a B12 lozenge work, or should I just jump right in and go for the shots? Thanks in advance for the help, and below is the list and dosages
1) Vitamin B12 Lozenge 1000 mcg (1 daily)
2) Lutein 6 mg (1 daily)
3) Folic Acid 800 mcg (2 daily)
4) Milk Thistle Extract 175 mg (2 daily)
5) Vitamin C Chewable 500 mg (2 daily)
6) Flax Seed Oil 1000 mg (2 daily)
7) Veggie Complete (2 daily) -no dosage given-
8) Fruit Complete (2 daily) -no dosage given-
Thanks!
What can I add to my smoothies to make them nutritionally complete? ?
Because of very severe food allergens, I've had to resort to making my own smoothies to eat. I have other health problems resulting from poor nutrition. I've also had alot of damage to my stomach, esophagus, and duodenum.
This are the liquid supplements that I add to my smoothies:
Flax Seed Oil (For the EFA)
DHA
ARA
L-Arginine
L-Carnitine
Taurine
Vitamins
Minerals
Protein (from brown rice)
Extra Liquid B's
Probiotics
Folic Acid
Is there anything else that I can add to my smoothies to make them more nutritionally complete?
P.S. I don't eat meat, eggs, dairy (im allergic to milk), corn (I'm allergic), potatoes, refined sugar, gluten ( I have celiac diease), salt or salty foods (I have meiners diease). I don't eat anything that is processed.
Vitamins (pre-pregnancy), what's good, bad and how much?
Before hubby and I are considering children. I want to better myself with vitamins.
Currently I purchased: Evening primrose oil 500mg (linoleic acid- 700mg; gamma linoleic acid- 80mg) and Flaxseed oil 1200mg (omega3-540mg; omega6-132mg; omega9-132mg) to go with my one-a-day multi (that contains 400mcg of folic acid and 450mcg of calcium).
Can I take 3 EPO's, 1 Flax and 2 multi (for extra calcium), each day?
Will that be too much of omega-6?
Should I take 1 multi and opt for an additional calcium vitamin?
what kind of vitamin supplements and herbs can be taken with lisinopril?
I take B-complex with Folic/vitamin C. Flax oil, Magnesium, Calicium,Vitamin D, Turmeric, Cinnamon, Acai.
Will my hair grow significantly?
Alright, so long story short, I needed my hair cut a certain way for a costume. However, my hairstylist is an idiot who tries to put a girly, chic edge on everything, and it came out waytooshort. One of my friends recommend I take five biotin pills a day, because she says it makes her hair grow two centimeters every few days.
I did a little research on biotin and vitamins that aid hair growth, and went out and stocked up. I bought biotin, B-complex, flax seed oil gels, beta-carotene, vitamin E, and vitamin C tablets with bioflavonoids. I take one of each every morning. This equates to:
5000mcg biotin
500mg vitamin C
50mg B-complex
1000mg flax seed oil
25,000 IU beta-carotene
400 IU vitamin E
Basically, I want to know if I'll have any significant hair growth in 90 days. Before, I was just taking a children's multivitamin that had 48mcg of biotin, and my hair was growing at a faster-than-normal rate. Like, about four inches (more or less) in six months. My hair's always been strong and healthy and thick. I'm just worried that I'm wasting money on a bunch of vitamins that won't actually help my hair grow at all.

Okay, Nate. So basically cut out the supplements, and go for the B12 shots.
