What vitamins should I take that would be most effective?

I don't eat red meat or fish I only do poultry and that's even somewhat rare(iron vitamins hurt my stomach) . I'm not asking for criticism on the next part but I try to avoid breads and oils even olive because I'm scared of the weight gain. I eat veggies and fruits galore just not many citrus fruits. What multivitamins or any other kinds should I take to keep my body in good health with my eating habits?

is it ok to take a multivitamin with a dietary suppliment that may include some vitamines in it?

I'm taking the supplement focus formula which includes vitamin c 200% daily value, vitamin e 100% daily value, b6 500% daily value, folic acid 100% and vit. b12 500%. The daily vitamin has many more vitamins mostly containing the daily value of 100%. Is is ok to take the mutlivitamin since it has all the vitamins I need along with the dietary suppliment that helps with focus and concentration and brain support (dietary suppliment also includes herbal ingrediants.) such as ginkgo and gotu kola. I don't eat well and will benefit from the daily multi viatamin and also need help with adhd issues but worried about if it's possible to overdose on viatamins?

Also anyone know what the maximum daily value of ginko bilopa and gotu kola leaf extract since both are great to use for concentration and memory problems. I'd like to buy the supliments gotu kola leaf and ginko bilopa since they both are sold as single suppliments. If the focus formula alone doesn't help I want to try increasing the ammount of ginkgo and gotu kola without taking more then is considered safe. Thanks!!
based on one persons answer I'd like to add that my eating habits are poor. To expect me to eat all the daily reccomendations on each food group would be a huge problem. Sorry but i never have a huge appetite and it seems to get everything I ned I'd have to be eating constantly through the day to meed each vitamin and mineral requirement for each day.

As for useing prescription drugs to help with adhd that may be all good for those who can tolerate such meds buyt for me after 4 years I started getting side effects such as irregular heart beats and pvcs along with chest pain so I really can't and probably shouldn't be taking those meds anymore and don't have much of a choice since living with adhd untreated is pure hell and if I can't find safer natural ways to control my adhd symptoms i'm not sure what it I'll do...

I'm already feeling beyond discorouged and doubtful so anyone who has experiance useing herbal/natural remedies with great success and a doctor please respond.

What is a good diet for high blood pressure?

My husband has always had high blood pressure but recently it has jumped even more. As he's only 22 and I'm not planning on losing him due to that anytime soon I have decided to change our eating habits. I'm trying to put new meal plans together and would love suggestions for breakfast, lunch, and dinner that would be blood pressure friendly.

Reason for little to no weight loss?

Here is my problem. I have been overweight since I got in an accident when I was 3 and was in the hospital for about 6 months. I have had a continuing struggle with my weight. I have joined gyms, clubs and talked to personal trainers. I have talked to a doctor when I was younger (and had health insurance) and he said I "just need to push away from the table sooner). Now I am older and no health insurance. Now I am 26 and almost 400 pounds.

I have been working out for a month, eating 2000-2500 calories a day, and making sure to eat 3 main meals and 3 snacks. I drink at least a gallon of water a day. I workout 4-5 times a week and do the following routine.
Start with 8 minute warm up, then do 45-1 hour of high intensity weight training then finish with 35 minutes of Cardio. I burn 750 calories with the cardio and (as per the trainer there) at least 750-1000 with the high intensity weight train.
A few years ago I did the same work out routine and eating schedule. Over 8 months I lost maybe 20 pounds. That's only 2.5 pounds a month, not really a lot. I have always been told that men lose weight a lot faster, but I do not.
Some background info on me, besides the accident.... I am a vegetarian, I eat plenty of protein, get more than enough fiber and all other vitamins from my food.
My question is, what is wrong with me? I have always been told it might be my Thyroid, but I dont know if thats it or not. I dont have health insurance but want to get skinnier and see some results from my workouts and eating habits. Any suggestions or opinions???

How soon would you reduce blood pressure with exercise? How long before you begin to see a change?

If I exercised for at least one hour on a treadmill a day, 7 days a week, how long before I'd notice a drop in blood pressure? Would it begin to take effect in under 6 months or no? I don't know if I'm phrasing this correctly, but I just would basically like to find out how long it would take for my blood pressure to start dropping if I were to adopt a healthier lifestyle and exercise (because I'm fairly sedentary due to my job). Thanks. (I'm looking for expert advice or advice from people who have lowered their blood pressure or know of someone who has. My goal is to lower my blood pressure and by extension my resting heart rate.) :)
I'm not on medication. I used to have okay blood pressure, then through a series of traumatic events, I began eating a lot. I was severely depressed and I gained like 70 lbs. Horrible I know, but I was on medication depressed and I was practically suicidal. I'm better now and I want to work on myself, and be healthy and live a nice long life, but I don't want to be on medication for blood pressure or cholesterol so I want to lose the weight I've amassed. Is it possible or unlikely that if I lose the weight I've gained, and maybe a little more, through diet and exercise (focusing on whole grains/fiber, etc..) that I could return to a healthy blood pressure number? Or is it impossible to lose weight and exercise and eat a healthy diet to lower blood pressure? I would really rather avoid medication if it's at all possible because I feel like if it's through my own sedentary lifestyle and eating habits that I got this way, I would rather fix the problem than put a bandaid on it.

weight loss: How quick should it come off?

I have made changes in my eating habits and was wondering how fast I should see the weight come off. I am 38 year old female. I have cut out pop/soda all together. I am not eating past 7:30 p.m. and watching what I eat. I am a very busy woman and eat on the go a lot. So I am trying not to eat fast food at all. If I do I try to make it a healthy choice. I also take Levothyroxine for hypothyroidism and a B complex vitamin.

effective weight loss tips?

how many times a week should i work out?
what kind of foods should i eat? (baked, grilled, sauteed, etc)
how often should i weigh myself?

i don't drink 8 glasses of water. instead i drink 2-3 1L bottles of Smart Water a day, is that okay?

Is it safe to drink juice? gatorade? vitamin water?
what key foods should i avoid during a diet?
how long should a diet last?

i feel that the answers to these questions would be my key to help me lose weight that i'd wanna lose.

another thing is, if i monitor my weight by keeping a log of my progress and foods i eat, how do i know the amount of calories i'm intaking?

for example; the foods we eat are normally homecooked so i wouldn't know what the calories of grilled steak, sauteed asparagus, with mashed potatoes and/or green beans is.

does chewing gum satisfy hunger cravings?

i'm quickly trying to get my eating habits back on track as i am going to be going back to school soon and beginning a job. if allowing to splurge, how often should be allowed? i have a thing for caffeine that i've been slowing breaking as well.

thanks for all advice! any extra tips are welcome.

My weight loss journey or something like that..

My first question....ever....

Alright then, I had terrible eating habits. I used to eat an entire pizza in less than 3 seconds or crap loads of crap (junk food) and pretty much sit on my ass and play video games all day, smoke..stuff...you get the point.

Okay so to the real thing, I'm 5 7 and weigh 157 lbs. I've been exercising for the past 2 weeks regularly everyday. I run about 2 miles a day, do about 40 reps with 25 lbs dumb bells, and about 20 minutes of hardcore boxing action with me and my lovely heavy bag. I wanna' know if this is enough to help me lose about...15 lbs in a moderate time (say 2-3 months). I don't care if it's less than 15 lbs, I just wanna' see some changes. I don't really eat junk food anymore, have started eating fruits, taking vitamin tablets and such. This is actually a pretty big lifestyle change for me, so any supportive-ish answer or stuff will be pretty helpful, or even tips.
