Pain in my leg joints & bones.?

I was having weakness in one knee (felt like it was going to give out when I walked and numbness on the upper side on my back (also left side). I had an MRI of my back and brain (fearing MS). My back was fine but my brain showed a spot on the right side but the neurolist said it was most likely a scare and didn't think it was anything to worry about. He did test my Vitamin D levels and it was low so I was put on supplements. The symptom went away so I stopped (I hate taking pills) and it came back within a few days. I've been going through cycles of taking it (and other vitamins) and not. Over the past 5 weeks, I noticed throbbing pain in my other leg. It started in my ankle and hip and I felt it when I was sitting. The pain has now involved my knee and shin and the numbness in my back has returned. I have a job where I mostly sit so it's getting painful to work now and for the past two days, laying on my side has been painful and actually has been interfering with sleep.
Has anyone else had this happen?
Do you think it's the vitamin D or something else?
If it's the vitamin D, why do the symptoms come back when I stop taking it? I now drink milk (which I didn't before when all this started) so I'm wondering if I'm able to store vitamin D or if something is causing me to lose it? I know a thyroid problem can cause problems with vitamin D but my thyroid test came back normal last fall.
I still young but I feel miserable.

could this be too much iron and cause problems for me?

this may be an off the wall question but i had to ask. i bought a Body Wash that has Iron in it. i didn't realize it till i got it home..is it possible that this can be too much iron on top of other things i receive iron from?

i read this and made me nervous.so i thought i would ask

Iron is not excreted. The iron you absorb stays and accumulates in storage except that you can lose one milligram a day through hair, finger nails, skin cells and other detritus. That is the amount needed every day to replace the loss. One milligram, that’s all and for women in reproductive years, one and a half milligram. The other way to lose iron, of course, is by blood loss.

The other thing to note is that hemoglobin is not iron! Yes, you are anemic if your hemoglobin is low but that does not necessarily mean your iron is low. Indeed, what might be happening is that the iron is collecting in storage instead of going into hemoglobin. You are actually iron-loaded and need iron removed despite the anemia. The anemia should be treated with B vitamins, especially B12, B6 and folic acid. Many patients with anemia are dying of iron overload, and some are hastened to their death by their physicians who give them more iron.

Even a small amount of excess iron can damage heart and brain and other storage sites in the body and lead to heart attack or stroke. There is exaggerated concern when hemoglobin falls temporarily, following surgery, for example. Blood transfusions are over-used. A study shows that surgery patients who do not receive transfusions survive better than those who do.1
