Hair is DEAD, lost my curls, what shampoo/products to use to make it come back?
So long story short i used to have gorgeous banana spiral curls naturally. after dying my hair one too many times and after the most recent back to blonde highlights the bleach killed my hair. it does not curl anymore but is gross, frizzy, and unmanagable. however my stylist says i need to try to scrunch it so my hair remembers it's curly lol. i'm taking vitamins and biotene to encourage growth but i hear it will only be curly again once all the highlights grow out, it this true?
anyways i wanted some reccomendations for GOOD, quality, proven curly hair products. if it is some cheap, okay product i don't want it. i'm heaing to target in a bit and wondering what prodcuts would be best, i'm looking for an entire line, redken? biolage? umberto? back to basics? etc? something VERY nourishing, designed for curly hair, price isn't an issue. thanks!
thank you for the biology lesson, i UNDERSTAND my hair is dead, let me reitterate that, my hair FRIED, now do you understand my question?
How to use bleach to get hair from DARK brown to Blonde….?
Okay. My Natural color is Light brown/dark blonde. I have been dyeing it Dark Brown with a touch of Dark burgundy Brown for almost 2 years. I decided recently that I'd like to go back to something closer to my natural color with heavy blonde highlights. I realized going from Dark brown to that would be really complicated so I decided it would be best to skip the highlights for now and maybe add them at a later date. So, my goal now is to go all blonde.
I used Ion color corrector to try and remove as much of the Dark brown as possible. As you can imagine the length of my hair stayed pretty dark. I waited two weeks and used the color corrector again.
Now a week later I bleached my hair once and it is of course orange. I've been slathering it with vitamin E oil and wearing a cap to bed. I haven't heat styled my hair once, I've been wearing a scarf on my head and using deep conditioner to keep it healthy throughout this process.
It's been two days since the first bleaching, and tonight I'm going to bleach it again...(only the length is orange btw my natural hair takes well to only one bleaching and goes white blonde after only ten minutes or so) I'm really hoping that this will be the last bleach job I have to do for now, especially because I have a wedding to attend on Saturday and I'd rather not have CRAZY colored hair.
so I just have a few questions like...
Should I use a 40 volume developer with my bleach tonight instead of 30?
If my hair is practically white from pre-lightening and I'm then dyeing it blonde could I use a lower volume developer like say 10 or 20?
Should I try to use a toner instead of regular permanent dye?
Does anyone have experience with bleaching their hair two or three or even more times in such a short period?
do you have any tips or suggestions that I may not have thought of?
My hair is completely dead. How to I fix it to where it is long and pretty?
I have been straightening my hair for 5 years. I have VERY curly and frizzy hair, but its crazy kind, all over the place. I had blonde highlights done to it for 4 years, and last year I dyed it all brown so I could try saving it a little. But it hasnt grown at all by getting rid of blonde. I have been trying to wear it natural lately, and i cut down on straightening to only on weekends when I go out. I still see no progress in growth, it has been the same length for 3 years! Not lying either, it has not moved at all. I wear hair extensions some times, but I want to be able to wake up with long hair, not always have to clip in my extensions. PLEASE HELP.
idc how much it will cost me, i will save up
i just want healthy hair that will finally GROW!!
Also, are there any vitamins that actually help hair growth? or shampoos and conditioners. I dont want to buy a bunch to figure out which ones work and which ones dont.
Hair help please! I look like Vitamin C with blonde highlights!?
Ok my hair is naturally brown and I got highlights about 3 months ago. Later I decided to go completely blonde(my goal was golden blonde)...so I bought a lorel color (ultra sun blonde) and now my hair is BRIGHT orangey strawberry blonde...if I didnt have the blonde highlights I would have an orange head!:( Does anyone know what I can do? or if I can mix a temp to tone it down? My goal is still to get to blonde all over. Please help!
