What does amount per serving mean for vitamins?

I have hair, skin, nail vitamins and the serving size is 3 tablets, does the amount per serving = amount per three tablets? or each tablet?
for example 333% biotin per serving...is that what I will get with one tablet or by taking 3?

How do you take your vitamins?

I mean in the order throughout the day... If I have a glass of Chocolate milk (breakfast shake with vitamins), I won't take my multi until later in the day and I won't take my extra calcium with Vit D until dinner. I just heard that if you take everything at once, it may not be as effective.

I take a multi, fish-oil, calcium with Vit D, Biotin (for hair and skin) and I just started taking more iron since PMS is really bad.

this isnt an question. its an ANSWER to prbly the most common question on here. "hair"?

i've seen soo many posts from people asking how they can make their hair grow longer or be healthier. and im just going to post this in hopes people will get all the answers they need right here.

first off, theres not "proven" way to make your hair grow faster. or so they say. but it never hurts to make it healthier. it just makes sense that healthier hair would grow at least SOMEWHAT faster than non healthy hair. so here are some tips:

1) take vitamins!!! E & B vitamins are especially good for your skin/hair. also try "hair skin and nails" vitamins. and you also might want to try some biotin. but remember, take these all in moderation. don't overdose.

2) chop off those split ends! people say you should get a haircut ever 4-6 weeks, but everyones hair is different. you should just get a trim whenever the ends of your hair seem frayed or you have split ends. that doesn't mean you have to take off 2 whole inches, maybe just 1/2 an inch or even less.

3) try and minimize heat damage. if you can, let your hair air dry naturally. and try and lay off straighteners and curlers. your hair doesnt have to look perfect EVERY day. personally, i just put some mouse in my hair and let it go natural and only use heating tools for special events.

4) eat a healthy diet. healthy you = healthy hair

5) try and deep condition once a week.

6) massage your scalp while in the shower. this stimulates blood flow in the scalp.

7) if you're going out into the sun, add a product that protects your hair from UVA/UVB rays. or wear a hat.

8) find a shampoo/conditioner that effectively moisturizes (sp?) your hair. i used to try and research shampoos before i bought them....but soon realized online reviews are POINTLESS. everyones hair is different. what may work for someone else might be horrible for you or vice versa. so shop around.

9) if you can don't wash your hair everyday. this strips the scalp of your natural oils and can leave your hair dry.

hope that helped :)

p.s. washing your hair with vinegar every few weeks makes it shiny

p.s.s. avocado or maynoise hair masques never hurt either ;)

Would is be safe for me to take two tablets daily of B-Complex?

Im taking Natures Bounty Super B-Complex with Folic Acid plus Vitamin C.

One tablet has:
Vitamin C - 180 mg
Thiamin - 100 mg
Riboflavin - 20 mg
Niacin - 25 mg
Vitamin B-6 - 5 mg
Folic Acid - 400 mcg
Vitamin B-12 - 30 mcg
Biotin - 45 mcg
Panthothenic Acid - 5.5 mg
Debittered Brewers Yeast - 100 mg

Will it be okay for me to take two tablets? Will anything bad happen? The reason I'm taking it is because I read these tablets promote hair growth.

After gastric bypass surgery, are powder vitamins necessary or is it possible to use capsules?

I'm about to have GB surgery in a few weeks and I bought a ton of powder vitamins but I don't understand how I can get a day supply of vitamins in my system if I'm only drinking two ounces at a time. I work for a premier vitamin company so I may be going overboard, but I currently take:

Daily Vitamin (equivalent of 5 capsules)
11,900 mcg Biotin (1/2 tsp)
1200 mg B12 (1/2 tsp)
4000 mg buffered Vitamin C (1 tsp)
1200 mg Calcium (equivalent of 6 capsules)
6000 IU Vitamin D (3 liquid drops)
20,000 IU Vitamin A (1 liquid drop)
1/2 oz Fish Oil (1 Tbsp)

I am REALLY hoping I can at least digest softgels as the liquid fish oil is GROSS...and it's the "tasteless flavoured" stuff...very good quality, though. I can deal with the powder if necessary, but they're pretty nasty and I'll have a hard time getting them all in my drinks.

Also, what vitamins do YOU take? Do you take them separately or do you drink a protein shake that has them all in there?

Thanks!

Longer hair, faster with Cabellina Shampoo & Conditioner?

I just bought this shampoo and conditioner, Cabellina for Mane, Tail & Body. When brought to the front, my hair is about 2 inches past my shoulders. When put to the back, it stops just where my bra is. I really want hair down to my waist. I have stopped straightening it, I wash it daily and let it air dry, I sleep with it in a head wrap, and I take fish oil, Iron, Biotin, And Vitamin B.

I have only been using Cabellina for the past two days. Will it help my hair grow?

And will the other things I am doing assist?

Please help, especially if you have used it too.
