* I'm 15 weeks pregnant
* My baby is super, but I have gone from 145 to 121.
* My doctor says I need to have GAINED 4 lbs by the next time I see her on Aug 13th, but I have still lost weight.
* I am on meds that keep me from puking still and they work, but I cant seem to eat enough to sustain my own weight or gain it.
* Most food I love, I cannot eat (milk especially!), and I also don't have cravings.
* What I do eat is super healthy (ie., hard-boiled eggs, yougurt, homemade broccoli soup, whole tomatoes & high fiber bars just to name a few), but I add in McDonald's kids meals once or twice a week to try and get that extra boost, but to no avail.
* I take prenatal vitamins so I want to know if having Slim Fast, Ensure, Boost (or whatever, do you know of anything?) is safe to have WITH my meals as a protein and calorie additive to gain this weight, while also making sure that in conjunction with taking my vitamins I dont risk overdoing any vitamin or mineral intake such as iron.
*Hopefully someone can suggest something I don't have to special order, while I'll try it, I want something I can buy at the grocery store or GNC TODAY! lol
It's not rosacea. It's very very mildly red, my skin is very fair and thin. When I spent a year in Colorado (I've been back on the east coast for ... over a year and a half now) my cheeks got a bit red, moreso on the right side though. I'm 22. I have spent all my summers on the beach unfortunately (not that I would ever do differently), and I have tried vitamin E oil at night, also have tried Aveeno moisturizer for redness, which seemed to sting and had no positive effect whatsoever. Is there some kind of procedure out there, can I get zapped or something?
Now that I think of it lol, I should mention I have also tried a daily regimen of benzoyl peroxide and then after that I tried a daily regimen of salicylic acid leave-on goo. The clinique lady told me they would combat redness but to no avail it seems.
For moisturizer I use aveda tinted moisturizer with spf 15 but even that doesn't seem to cover up the redness. :-(
My father's a doctor, and he's never said anything. Lol my mom made fun of me once though in a photo. She said why does your face look so red? It seems to be worse in photos. :(
Mommyof2, which kind of Ogabi do you get?
I always have worn sunscreen, but if you live at the beach all summer you're going to get sun damage anyhow.
I had a histerectomy three years ago and it caused my metabolism to basically stop. I started gaining weight almost immediatly. i tried everything, to no avail. then a classmate told me about a doctor in a near by town. he put me on a weight loss plan that included monthly visits, vitamin b injections, and a perscription. within a short time i was feeling better, i had energy, was finally sleeping, and most of all i was losing weight. recently his wife became very ill. he announced he was going to retire, and close his clinic. he gave his patients three months to find another doctor. well its been 7 months and i still cant find a doctor who will do any more than tell me that it would be beneficial for my long term health if i lost weight. isnt that a kick, since i always write on the line reason for your visit line: weight loss. not to mention that those are the first words out of my mouth when they come in and ask "so how can i help you today'.
I've received several answers regarding the need for proper diet and exercise. so let me add to the question i am already working with a personal trainer and following the diet that my original doctor set up. doing these things has enabled me to stableize my weight. i am not however losing any.
when my doctor retired he was also unable to find a physician was willing to continue his program.
