i was wondering if anyone could tell me from experience about any vitamins that help reduce acne, i know that vitamin A is found in the drug accutane, also ive heard that biotin is pretty good.....and im currently taking fish oil pills as well....soooo if anyone has any suggestions any help is appreciated! thanks....
Do large doses of Vitamin A have the same effect as Accutane?
I have heard that taking large doses of Vitamin A can have the same effect as the powerful drug, Accutane. I have also heard that this is not true. Just looking for some clarification.
Has anyone used Accutane for acne control?
I read that Accutane is often prescribed by dermatologists for acne. Most times they prescribe an anti-bacterial, but it also said vitamin A - Accutane - as well.
Has anyone ever used it? If so, is it something that can be bought at local stores in the vitamin section, or is it specially prescribed? Any side effects?
Thanks for any info!
Best and Fast Acne cure?
I'm taking accutane and I'm getting dry skin/ dry lips, all the fun stuff.
I'm just starting my 3rd month and its cleared up a lot of my forehead and for some reason, 1 side of my face.. the other side is "clearing" but its still not very good. they aren't deep cysts, only red pimples all over.
In addition, my face is pretty red all over just from having the pimples there. The dermatologist told me not to take any pills while taking acutane, so I'm not sure if that means vitamins as well?
I have prom in a week and I'd really appreciate it if I could get some help here..
1st - I've heard about all the cucumber paste, tomato, basil, tooth paste (I've heard it doesn't work) and a lot of other natural paths, but what is the simplest home remedy that has for sure worked for you? How long did you do it and what were the effects? (reduce redness, swelling, clear acne, etc.)
2nd - Should I take vitamins while taking acutane? And if so, what type of vitamins are best for clear skin?
3rd - I read that milk and those products can be bad for your skin, yet I also read yogurts are extremely healthy for your skin - what is your knowledge on this?
4th - I use a moisturizer that is for sensitive skin since my skin is dry from the accutane. I don't need ProActive or suggestions like these please.
I need natural remedies, help on vitamins, information like this. Long term would be helpful, and especially things that will help by next Saturday would be the best.
(Also, I have a normal eating diet, probably less fatty than most, and I drink little to no pop. I don't sleep on a certain side of my face and I change pillow/sheets often.)
I need to reduce redness and clear up my face. Please help, and thank you.
What are the best vitamins/supplements to help make hair grow longer and thicker?
What could cause a 22 yr old girl's hair to start getting really, really thin??? My hair has never been really thick and full, and lately I have noticed that it is starting to get unusually thin and sparse. :((
I have tried a number of different shampoos and always use a good conditioner, so mistreatment is not what is causing this problem. I have never even had it dyed or done anything else that could unnaturally damage it. It is not shedding very much now, but I noticed a lot of shedding earlier this yr. I think that is part of why it is soo thin now. I just don't know what caused it, or why it doesn't seem to be growing back thickly like it should. The only causes I can think of are that I did not take care of myself(didn't eat well, get enough sleep, and was under a lot of stress from college) during the spring of this yr. I was also on accutane last yr. Could it be possible that my hair loss is caused by taking accutane a yr ago?
I have heard that prenatal vitamins are good for my problem and am thinking about trying them. Is there a certain kind that works best? Also are there any herbal supplements for growing hair that actually work? Thanks for any answers or suggestions!
What are the best ways to moisturize my skin besides a moisturizer?
My skin is very dry and red and I have eczema on my arms and bleed very easily. I was wondering if anyone has some suggestions that I could try to moisturize my face and body besides just a lotion. Or if anyone knows of a gentle exfoliator. I'm on this very strong acne medication (Accutane). I've tried Vitamin E oil and it hasn't seemed to help... so if you have any suggestions, please help :)
best vitamin or creams or diet for clear skin. (to get RID of stubborn mild acne)?
I've tried a lot of different things to help my skin, and I must admit it is a lot better than it was when I was 14-16 when my skin had moderate acne. But I'm about to be 19 in a couple months, and am sick and tired of having stubborn zits all around my face. I've been drinking a lot of water, and trying to eat fruits and veggies, I wash my face 2x a day with Origins cleanser, followed with toner, perscription Benzeclin (night) or Tazorac (day). I also have recently been trying putting lemon juice on my skin. I take 2 Garden of Life Perfect Food vitamins and one of vitamin A at night.
But...everyday I still have zits, whether its the same ones, new ones, or ones that haven't surfaced yet but hurt. What can I do? Oh and I've tried Proactive and been to the dermatologist, and she's done everything she can (but I'm not going on Accutane!) Is there some sort of detox cleanse I can do, or a specific vitamine that will help me, or a magical cream?(I'm kidding about the cream lol)Thanks!
