Are there some vitamins you can take, or like certain foods you can eat to clear up your skin?
i did the whole accutane thing, and my skin looks great now. But every now and then i get the occasional zit, and i have some redness. I've been doing alot of natural, and economical kind of things lately. i was just wondering if there were any foods our vitamins that will clear up your skin, and keep you looking and feeling more healthy.
How much Beta-Carotene and Vitamin A to take for acne?
I used to be on accutane and it worked very well for me. After a few months I started to flair up again. Is there anyone that has a routine with vitamins? I just started taking 24,000 ui of natural vitamin A a day plus 100,000 ui of beta-carotene. Is this gonna do anything for me? should I up the dosage? I also take a B complex and vitamin E supplement.
Vitamin A in the form of Retinyl Acetate – Can it cause toxicity?
I know that Vitamin A in the form of Beta-Carotene is safe, but what about Retinyl Acetate? Especially when taken with Accutane (Isotretinoin)?
(In the multivitamin I'm taking, Vitamin A is in the form of both.)
I'm wondering because I take multivitamin every day in addition to isotretinoin. I remember that the doctor said vitamins are fine, but I'd like to make sure because I've heard someone say that Vitamin A taken with Accutane may increase the possibility of side effects.
Also, does Vitamin A toxicity cause abdominal pain?
Any comment is appreciated!
how much vitamin A for acne for 15 year old?
I have severe acne I would say. I know that accutane is made up of vitamin, but I don't want to risk the side effects. But I heard taking regualr vitamin could help clear it up. I need to know the right amount to take and other vitamins to go along with it, and when should I see results?
I am a boy by the way, if that would make a difference.
Can i take vitamin c while taking accutane?
I know that Accutane is an enormous amount of vitamin a and I can't take anything containing vitamin a. But could I take vitamin C?
Moisturizer plus acne?
I have terrible acne, and even worse acne scarring. The kind that would probably qualify as a "before" photo in a ProActive commercial.
I've never used a moisturizer until two months ago, because I always thought it would clog my pores more.
My stepmother suggested that I probably try some, because of the 100 degree heat here.
So I did. I got Clean & Clear moisturizer and after about a week of using it (followed the directions exactly) I noticed it started making me break out even more.
Do I even need a moisturizer? I'm not sure if this stuff works by making you break out at first, and then it slowly starts working and the breakouts become less like a lot of products do.
Is there one under that you've tried that doesn't cause breakouts or clog pores (I'm on a really tight budget these days)?
As far as my acne goes, I've tried tons of products: literally every single thing on the grocery store's shelves, ProActive, Murad, prescribed creams from my doctor (four total), and other little "home remedy" tips and tricks from other people's suggestions.
Right now I'm following a remedy from Acne.org, using baking soda 2-3 times a week and rubbing Vitamin E on my face every night and every morning.
I'm washing my face with Neutrogena and I really like how soft it makes my face feel.
Is there anything else you could recommend for acne that doesn't cost a lot (under )?
Thanks!
I visited a dermatologist for three years, once every month or every other month, but I had to stop because it started to get a little pricey.
I've tried Accutane, that dried out my skin WAY too much, to where it was very painful and my skin would crack in a few areas.
I've decided that it might be best to tackle this on my own without a doctor or dermatologist, since they all seem to say the same things, and I know all of it already.
: )
