My hair is completely dead. How to I fix it to where it is long and pretty?
I have been straightening my hair for 5 years. I have VERY curly and frizzy hair, but its crazy kind, all over the place. I had blonde highlights done to it for 4 years, and last year I dyed it all brown so I could try saving it a little. But it hasnt grown at all by getting rid of blonde. I have been trying to wear it natural lately, and i cut down on straightening to only on weekends when I go out. I still see no progress in growth, it has been the same length for 3 years! Not lying either, it has not moved at all. I wear hair extensions some times, but I want to be able to wake up with long hair, not always have to clip in my extensions. PLEASE HELP.
idc how much it will cost me, i will save up
i just want healthy hair that will finally GROW!!
Also, are there any vitamins that actually help hair growth? or shampoos and conditioners. I dont want to buy a bunch to figure out which ones work and which ones dont.
Is there a vitamin or something to help me grow taller?
I just want to know if there's a vitamin or something that can make me grow a few inches taller. I want to be at least 5'8", right now I'm about 5'3". Yeah I know that I'll stop growing 16-18, but I'm almost that age, and I've been about 5'3" for almost 3 years!
Question about ear stretching?
Ok, so i use to have my ears pierced for about 3 years. I took them out for about a year or so, they were just a 20 gauge at the time. Yesterday, i pushed them through my ear no problem, but they are just a little bit sore. How long should i wait until i move up to an 18? Also i heard that using Vitamin E oil was good for it. What exactly do i do with the Vitamin E oil, and what type should i buy? And is there anything i should put on the post when i size up to help it slide it better? any advice is appreciated.
Could you answer my hair question?
What is the best flat iron for hair, and do you need to replace them ever?
I have had mine for about 3 years and I use it everyday. I bought it from my stylist, but my hair is so dry and split, and I am trying to figure out why. I get it cut it regularly, I take hair vitamins, I use stylist shampoo and conditioner and I get conditioning treatments every 6 weeks... but my hair is just so unhealthy. Any help is appreciated! Thanks.

Vitamin B12 Deficiency or French Polio?
So, about 3 years ago, my mom began to eat much less than one probably should. I’m talking about less than 1,000 calories on a daily basis. It may have started as depression after the death of her mother in 2002 and then father and brother just months prior to her changing her eating habits, but after losing some weight, she began to eat even less, perhaps in attempt to lose more weight. She was 250 lbs at the time and has since then lost about 75 lbs. She does so by eating as little as she can, no more than approx. 300-400 calories on most days. It’s not as though she counts calories, but comes up with excuses such as why something doesn’t taste any good, having a late lunch being a reason not to have dinner, or eating half of virtually everything she eats, no matter how small.
Anyway, although I have noticed signs of nutritional deficiency for a long time, last month she began to complain about not having the strength to walk and about how her hands and feet were numb. As time progressed, things have only gotten worse. The numbness has spread up her arms and legs, in addition to experiencing tingling and a sharp pain, especially in her feet. She also complained about the loss of feeling in her hands. I have also noticed her muscles almost becoming as jelly. She now cannot so much as lift herself up and it is extremely difficult for her to stand up just for a moment to get in a wheel chair.
She began visiting a chiropractor a few weeks ago. He thought she might have MS, and suggested she visit a neurologist. They did multiple tests, including scans and blood tests. They concluded she was dangerously low in potassium as well as folic acid. She will need to take supplements. However, that doesn’t appear to be causing her problems. I’m almost certain she’s deficient in other nutrients as well. Recently, she was told that she didn’t have MS and suggested that she had French polio. French polio is characterized by the loss of myelin which surrounds nerve cells. This causes the symptoms I covered earlier. However, these symptoms also describe vitamin b12 deficiency. I’m no doctor, but I’m led more to believe she is suffering from protein and b12 deficiency rather than polio or ms, based on how I know she’s already deficient in several if not more essential nutrients.
I am just worried that if they treat her for having polio, that they’ll be ignoring the cause of the problem. What do I do? I may be wrong, but it wouldn’t be the first time a specialist would be wrong either. I had an ENT specialist treat me several years ago. I knew for a fact that I just had temporary damage to my ears after being around loud noise. He tried to convince me I had allergies in my ears. He was so off the mark. My point is, more often than not, they can’t be trusted. Do I trust my instincts? What kind of tests need to be done for b12 deficiency, and wouldn’t they have caught it when they did other blood tests? Do you know anyone who experienced the above symptoms? What was the diagnosis?
Can teenagers use hair vitamins?
I'm about to turn 16 in a few of months and get a job (hopefully). Right now though my hair is sort of a mess I guess.
The front portion is full and thick and can get very silky. The very back of my hair is thinner, silkier textured and I don't think it grows because I get like no new growth ever. But the sides and crown of my head are the real problem because they are short, brittle, and very kinky textured.
I was thinking I'm just going to shave it all off and start fresh..but well I'll admit I'm a tad bit on the vain side and can't imagine myself walking around bald, for very long at least. And my hair has been shoulder length for about 3 years now I think.
So I found these hair vitamins called Hairfinity and they're not too expensive and I background checked the company and everything. The problem is that my mom thinks they'll pump too many chemicals into me.
And she won't even let me buy them with my own money.
So I was wondering can teenagers use hair vitamins like Hairfinity? Are there some kind of bad chemicals in them that might be harmful?
Please and thank you.
Do Whey Protein and Creatine REALLY help with weight loss?
I'm 6'0", 274 lbs. (as of May 1) and I've decided to get into shape once and for all. I've done this many times before (been as low as 205 as recently as 3 years ago) but this time I'm going to keep it off. I'm not getting any younger and it gets tougher to stay in shape the older you get. Over the years I've never taken any suppliments for weight loss. Aside from a multi vitamin every morning all I did was change my diet and exercise. Now that I'm 31, the weight isn't coming off as quickly as it used to...big surprise there. So I've been to multiple places like GNC, and other nutrition and vitamin shops and they all tell me basically the same thing: "Creatine and Whey Protein are what you need dude!!! You'll be ripped!!!" The problem with that is when I lost weight in the past, I was already ripped. Strip away all the fat and anybody looks "ripped." I've read on websites about the pros and cons and so forth but when I call these guys up to get a little more detail, they just repeat themselves My goal is to lose 70 lbs. by the end of the year and get back to my "fighting weight" of 205. Will creatine and whey protein HONESTLY help me accomplish this faster? I'm asking here on yahoo answers because these guys at GNC etc. aren't exactly objective when giving advice for this stuff and for that reason, I'm a little skeptical of their answers. Am I wrong here? Can somebody set the record straight?
What vitamins should a healthy/fit 24-year-old woman take?
I work out and eat fairly well...not the healthiest eater out there though. I am currently taking prenatal vitamins and recently bought folic acid, iron and ginger vitamins. Would I be overdoing it if I take all of these? I want to be as healthy as I can be and prepare my body should I want to become pregnant in the next 2-3 years or so.
What is the best way to grow hair long and fast?
Well I have been trying to grow my hair out for about 3 years now, and it has only grown approx. 4 inches..and yeah, I am female so expect me to make a fuss out of it,haha. But I have been taking extra vitamins for it, tried a salon brand shampoo/conditioner. Not seeing fantastic results. I have that L'OREAL Lash Serum and eyelashes are hair so I am tempted to try it, haha. But before I go crazy I must ask Yahoo people! So is there a for sure thing product, or natural remedy or anything that is THE best?
Please, no smartass comments like "get extensions" And If you are going to comment, please be serious and give me your best answer.
Thanks~
