Simpleton – Coca-Cola Bottle Shape


About Simpleton: Born: 1971 St Andrew Jamaica Died: Nov 7, 2004 Simpleton (born Christopher Harrison) was a Jamaican reggae DJ Originally from the Tavern area of St Andrew Jamaica. He shot to fame in 1992 when he scored a number one hit on the JBC Radio One and RJR Top 40 charts with 'Coca Cola Bottle Shape'. In the mid 1990s he hit the Top 10 on the charts with 'Quarter to Twelve', produced by Anthony Red Rose. Simpleton released three reggae albums in the mid-1990's. After being virtually idle from the Jamaican music scene, Simpleton died on a Sunday night at the Andrews Memorial Hospital in Kingston. Simpleton, who reportedly suffered from high blood pressure, collapsed and was rushed to hospital after suffering a heart attack. He was just 33 years old.

  19. I met him at a photoshoot for Touch Magazine in about 91 or 92 . I didn’t realise he died till I read your comment , I’m still in shock , WHO remembers the remix of this over the Gangstaar and Nice And Smooth joint called Dwyck coincidentally Guru from Gangstarr recently had a heart attack himself
