Scars and Tanning?

I know that tanning is bad and I do not intentionally tan. I would never go to a tanning bed. Yes, I am aware of the dangers of skin cancer. Yes, I have tried Mederma and it does not work for me.

Now, onto the question! I have a lot of scars from razor bumps on my legs and I was wondering, if I tanned a little bit, would my scars tan as well and become darker along with my skin or would my unscarred skin tan and become closer to the shade of the scars, which would not tan?

Is there anything you would recommend for scar fading? I am not willing to try lemon juice because it's too tedious and it seems to take too long. I have heard of using vitamin E and I recently bought a bottle of it. If I applied it twice a day, how long would it take for the scars to visibly fade into my natural skin color? I am aware that scars do not go away so please do not tell me that. How long will it take for cocoa butter to visibly fade scars as well?

Thanks!

  1. cocoa butter will not fade scars first off, it just softens them. i dont know about vit E. but i do know that if you tan yes the scars will tan also. and to be honest a lot of ppl will tan so their scars are less noticable. as your tan fades so will the tan on the scars.
