Scab fell off about a week ago now how do i heal this pink skin?
Last week i had a scrape which was on my nose and takes up the whole left side of my nose. I put on antibiotic ointment. The area seems to be healing normally. But the scabs have fallen off and it's been a while, and the skin underneath still looks pink, shiny, and not like the rest of my skin. It doesn't blend in and looks very noticable. I am very worried that it will scar for a long time. I heard vitamin e is good, but is it the best method? And also mederma but that is for scars, right now the skin is jst like pink

That’s new skin. Give it more time and it should start looking normal again.
And yes, get some Vitamin E cream for it.

Just leave it and your body will do all the work

color the pink spot with a black marker. It will look like a mole.

skin on the face takes a longer time to heal than other parts of the body. just keep putting something like neosporin on and it should get better eventually. best of luck! ^^

i would say band aid but that would lighten skin time is all and the antibiotic.

it will heal by itself. put some neosporin or vitamin E oil on it

The skin just needs some time, don’t worry. Unless it’s actually disfiguring (in which case you should talk to a skin doctor), just give it some time and help it heal (yes, vitamin e is supposed to be good. so is just giving the scar some healing help like bepanthen).

That’s normal. I scraped my toe at Hurricane Harbor the first day of summer and the scab fell off and it’s pink too. Pretty normal, don’t worry so much.

The skin is pink because its a scar.
You can try Polysporin to heal it but chances are you’re going to end up with a white scar.
Sorry man.
Good luck – Corbyn

Vitamin E applied directly will help. Break open a capsule and spread the oil on the wound. Also, use a lotion with aloe vera. Get some Melrose oil blend and apply directly to the skin. Both these things speed cell regeneration and healing.

u should’ve kept the scrape moisssst .. to prevent a scab from forming.
cuz after that falls off, you’re stuck with a scar.
now i guess ur screwed.
try ‘Curad scar therapy’ or sumthin

The skin will remain pink for a few weeks at the most and it isn’t anything that you should worry about. It is just taking your body awhile to reproduce the skin cells on the nose, and it is completely normal. Your nose will be as good as new!!

You shouldn’t be picking scabs! This can cause scarring in the future.
I think you might be alright with the pink on your nose. Usually these look like scars, but go away after a while (weeks, months, or maybe a year). And this is my experience with them.
If nothing improves, you might want to try a scar cream that will reduce the appearance either slightly or almost totally. You can find these at your local pharmacy or on online pharmacies.

well the wound should’ve healed before the scab comes off so there shouldnt be any scars left.
‘cuz scabs are usually there to protect the wounds so tht germs and whatnot dont go on the revealed flesh.
bt ever heard of sudocream? tht’s a very good healer cream for stuff like wounds, marks…etc.
hope it helped..

a scar ,,, use neasporin or sum scar cream

The reason it looks pink is because it is a new set of skin. I would continue to apply neosporin or something of the like. If you are worried about its appearance, also apply a liquid bandaid and then cover it up with makeup.

Just let your body do what it does best and leave it alone. It will heal when it is good and ready.

1. This is such a NASTY question!
2. Don’t pick your scabs! If you do it will leave a permanent scare.
3. The pink shiny thing on your knee? Yea that is another layer of skin.
-Just leave it alone and it will heal all by it’s self.
