Reactions to different brands of same vitamins?
I have had hives for 2 months now and although i do think stress is making them worse I can't figure out what caused them. The only thing I can think is I bought a different brand of my L-Lysine, could a different brand of the same vitamin give a reaction?

Reputable brands of the same medication (or vitamin) should not cause any allergic reactions, unless one brand contains ingredients not in the other. You would have to examine the two lists of ingredients very carefully. There may even be something in the coating that is different. If you are buying store brands, ones like Safeway and Wal-Mart are manufactured by the same companies as the higher-priced brand-named ones, to exactly the same specifications. Those bought in a health food store may not be.
